Hearing the doorbell ring, a tall girl with long flowing dark blue hair and matching eyes immediately rushed to the front door so that she could check whether it was what she had been waiting for or not. And sure enough, once she opened the door, she found a fancy white leather box, a bit larger than that of a shoe box, with a purple ribbon tied around the middle like a present.
She signed the documents she needed to before hurrying back in. Lifting the box up to observe, she finds a white envelope attached to the top, right underneath the purple bow.
Quickly closing the door shut, she craned her neck towards the kitchen where a figure could be seen cooking, and called out, "Mom!"
"What is it, dear?"
Yui removed the letter from the box and raised it up in the air for her mother to see. Realizing what it was, her mother beamed, shouting back, "Great job, sweetheart! I'm so proud of you!"
The young girl ran over to where her mother stood, arms open and waiting, and embraced her in a tight hug. "See? I told you that you'd be able to get in." Humming in agreement, Yui lifts her head up from her mother's chest and beamed.
"I can't believe I managed to get in to my dream school." Yui whispered, still in awe and disbelief. She couldn't believe that she managed to get into Shiratorizawa, an extremely prestigious school within their area. She had cut down on sleep as to bury her head deep within her books, studying as hard as she could to achieve her goal.
In a sudden surge of exhilaration, she leaped out of her mother's arms and jumped up and down with glee, punching the air repeatedly, akin to victory dance. Her mother let out a soft laugh as she observed her daughter's reaction, pride blooming within.

First day at a new school, a nervous and yet also unexplainable excited Yui steps foot into her classroom, still partially in disbelief. Maintaining the calm look that she usually wore, she sat down in her designated seat at the far back of the class, fingers brushing over the sticker with her name in the right corner of the table. Dropping her bag unceremoniously onto the floor, she notices a shadow looming over her on her right.
Looking up, she is met with olive green hair and eyes and a large figure, staring straight back at her. Her eyes widened and she flushed a pink hue once she realized that she was staring and quickly straightened up in her seat to face the front of the class instead.
Glancing out of the corner of her eye, she eyed the figure from head to toe. She knew that he was her age, but he was noticeably taller despite sitting down. A stoic expression rested on his features as her eyes scanned him. From his short olive hair and nose to the small frown on his lips.
"You're staring."
Olive pupils turned in her direction, causing her to become flustered and bury her face into her hands as she tried to apologize.
"S-Sorry!" A hint of the tiniest whine in her tone at the sheer embarrassment of being caught doing something rude hit her.
Nodding, the boy turned in his seat to properly face her and reached out a large hand. "Ushijima Wakatoshi." He introduced.
