Chapter 14

Yui didn't say anything else as both teams exchanged sets and spikes before countering back with receives or another blow onto the other side of the court. As Asahi runs up towards a spike but the fatigue starts to show in his form and the ball is blocked. He lets out a groan as his team members only patted his back, saying "Don't mind."

As time passes and it's now down to their set point, Yui feels the demand for the win as the atmosphere grew more and more tense around her. She glanced at Ukai, sitting on the edge of his seat. Takeda Sensei who was holding his hands together in prayer.

The anticipation rises, enveloping the air. The ball is served and even Yui could feel her body tense in her seat. The ball is sent over the net and Hayato receives it, Yui watches as the ball is set and spiked, before Tsukishima jumps into the air and getting a one-touch for his team.

It's picked up by Tanaka who sends it to Tobio who sets it to Hinata at minus tempo, hitting an efficient back attack across the net. Taichi blocks it and it heads for the ground, Ushijima reaches his left arm out and saves the ball, earning his team another chance.

Shirabu sets it into the air and Ushijima jumps, hitting straight into Hinata's face, the ball going airborne once again, Tanaka receiving it and sends it to Tobio who manages to receive the ball, but sending it over to Shiratorizawa's side.

Shirabu feels Ushijima's burning glare on the ball and smirks, tossing it to the ace who leaps once again, into the air, his figure beautiful to anyone who saw. Tsukishima, Daichi, and Asahi close in on the ace with a three-person block, making him unable to do a straight.

But even when his form was crumbling, Ushijima quickly follows his instincts and hits a cross, Tobio receiving the hard blow as it shoots into the air. Yui sighs in relief as her eyes linger for a few too many seconds.

Daichi ran, leaping to the side of the court and receiving it just in time before it hit the floor, his body rolling across the wooden court. "Asahi!" He shouted, voice filled with determination.

Asahi leaps into the air, swing his arms back before slamming the ball down and as the ball hits a block and flies back, threatening to hit the ground, Tanaka stretches his arms out to receive it.

Tobio gets ready to set as all at once, all five took off. Tobio sets the ball into the air and Hinata slams the ball down into an empty space at the back of the court.

Yui suddenly gets the urge to jump up from her seat and shouts, "Hinata!" No one knew what happened in the last few seconds except that Hayato receives the ball, sliding onto the ground as everyone could only watch in slow motion. Ushijima tried to move, but he couldn't. His arms were stuck, outstretched in front of him as his legs were tense and still.

As the ball flew towards the back, Ushijima rushes forward, but due to his hesitation, he was late. The ball landed on the ground with a thud, Ohira failing to receive it.

Everyone froze in shock staring at the fallen ball. Their eyes slowly widened once the referee blew the whistle, signaling the end of the match. In those last few seconds, Ushijima had lost, and the crows had won the match against the mighty eagle.

Yui felt her heart burst as tears trickled from the corners of her eyes and down her face. She held a hand over mouth as she cried, knowing that they had finally won. She sat stock-still in her seat as the tears kept rolling down, happiness overwhelming her.

Asahi, Sugawara, and Daichi turned wide-eyed towards each other and embraced the other as tears leaked through. Their shouts of joy mixing in with everyone else's. Hinata leaped into Tobio's arms before the two were then tackled by the whole team.
