Can I Have Your Attention Please

HELLLOOOO fri- people! Totally was going to say people the whole time. Not friends. Because I do not have those. Hahaha. Haha. Ha...ha.

I offer my condolences for your humor because I'm pretty sure I just killed it. Or maybe let's forget killed. More like slaughtered.

Anyway, hi. For reals.

My name is Kendall Conway, but I prefer You Queen (jk you probably all slay my life). I am probably the most awkward person you've ever met, but I make some pretty funny wisecracks here and there. If I annoy you, just slap me through the phone. It's not hard. Trust me. If you can frown with forty-two muscles in your face, then you can BITCH SLAP me with the four it takes to high five a face.

In case you can't tell by this introduction and disclaimer already, this book will take on a much more light-hearted approach. Although, a book isn't a book without a climax (and neither is sex) so bear with me in those depressing moments.

Now, a fair warning now, you probs aren't going to like something about this story. BUT it has nothing to do with society problems. You just have to look at the bright side of things in this story, okay? Okay. You'll get what I mean about this paragraph when this book is complete.

ALSO! This book will be a part of a two sectioned sequel. Of course it's not out YET (as of today, February 16th, 2018, when I started outlining and plotting Can I Have Your Attention Please ). But I'll put a little note in bold right below this paragraph when it IS out.

I just want to give you some background information about me before I get into warnings and disclaimers and such. But if you don't really care about this, then skip to them. Because my life really isn't all that interesting. I promise.

Second thing: I live in a small town called in Colorado with a population of 501. Our school goes pre-K through seniors. I'm thirteen (fourteen June 21st (yes, I was an amazing Father's Day gift)), and will be a freshman next year.

Third thing: Since we're a 1A school, we don't have many sports to offer. I play volleyball and basketball. Mostly basketball though. I'm on a summer team too, called Colorado Western Premier. It's pretty LIT.

Fourth thing: I have severe athletically-induced asthma. It's not death-defying or anything, but it sucks to have it when I love playing sports all of the time.

Fifth thing: Since I'm young and still have a lot to learn, I haven't taken a position in politics particularly. I'm mostly conservative, however. I don't want to be labeled as anything though. I think that people are people. They shouldn't have stickers that generalize their beliefs, because everyone thinks differently. I don't know if that makes sense to y'all. Anyway, that's what I think.

Lastly: Music is a large passion of mine. I have about - hold on, I'm counting - okay, I have forty-two and a half songs written of my own. Haha. Idk how good they are but they're enough for me. I play guitar very fluently and am learning violin and piano.

Okay now that that's out of the way, let's get on with everything boring.

THINGS I ASK OF MYSELF

Main character interactions will be much better than Wronged's. Meaning, I'll make sure the guy and the girl get more spotlight than I usually give them.

More romance will occur. I feel in my other books it's more about leaning life lessons. I actually want this to be more romantic and cheesy and gooey than anything else, lol.

More personality in the characters will be present. I feel like I don't give out enough of the characters' hobbies to really give readers general ideas.

THINGS I ASK OF YOU :)

Kindness is key. Please refrain from rude or hurtful comments. This means toward me or others in the comment section. I would LOVE to accept criticism though, as long as it's kindly put and respectful. I just feel like we all came here to read stories. Some of us, I know, try to come here to ESCAPE harsh realities. Let's not corrupt our awesome world with the real one.

Voting isn't something I really care about, but it is nice. I'm clearing it now that voting for me is different than other writers. When someone votes for a chapter, it makes me smile. It makes me feel like they actually really liked the chapter. Because when people read, they tend to not care and skip it. But when they vote, it means they cared so much that they took the time to click that little star. I guess it's just reassuring. Voting isn't required, of course, but it's nice. :)

Music brings life to stories. Who else listens to music when reading? I do too. And I haven't before, but I'm going to insert songs into each chapter of this story. I feel it makes it that much more sentimental. So please, when I do put it in, listen to dedicated songs! It'll make your experience much better!

Limitations are something good to have in mind when reading. This story isn't going to have as much darkness as my other story, Wronged, but it will have its moments. I'll let you know before each chapter that has harsh stuff in it to read at your own risk. But just tread carefully. :)

CONTAMINANTS

So Can I Have Your Attention Please not really contaminated, but it does have tainted pages. Know ahead of time that some of these things I DO NOT SUPPORT, but I put inside because it needs to be covered. Some people are too scared or nervous or don't want to deal with the realities we face as a community. I just like to address them in my stories, even subtly if I have to.

Discrimination will occur. This is in terms of women "not being able enough for certain tasks that a man should." (No, I do not support discrimination.)

Violence contained will be mild. Maybe a few fist fights and pocket knives involved. Guns will be in here too.

Sexual Interaction will happen a few times. But I don't write these scenes. I have my aunt help me with those. Because, I mean, I'm thirteen guys. But sex is viral. It's everywhere. People do it. And I think when two romantic characters interact sexually, it bonds them. I'm not thinking in a horny way or anything. Just emotionally. Scenes in Wronged were not written by me. And neither will this. Lol.

Language will be equivalent to Wronged content. If you wanna know what that'll look like, go check it out. *winks in a shameless promo ad*

Tissue boxes. You'll be needing a lot of tissue boxes. Both for tears of laughter and sadness. Also, grab some tea for some drama. Oh! And chocolate. Because...idk. It's chocolate.

Crude Humor. Welcome to every Wattpad story ever.

Alright, well that's it! The cast is up next. Since Wronged, I've been doing a "Cast of Aesthetics." Which, I'm not good at aesthetics, but oh well. I'm doing 'em.
