QOC: Say you're in high school. What would your peers describe you as in one word? And what would your closest friends describe you as?o • O • o
Sam's POV
O • o • OI like new things. I like redoing things. Go to different places, but visit them every once in awhile.
With music, it's the same thing. I learn how to play a song, leave it for a bit after performing it once, and then come back to it and make readjustments and new little details. It keeps the music fresh and alive and still in season despite its era being over.
I sigh and put my violin away, satisfied with the ending to my newest cover. Then I grab my rucksack and head out the door, where Kassidy is waiting for me. Cameron is there too, but he wasn't when I told Kassidy to stay out here while I practiced. He must've seen her in the hall and became all caught up with the ordeal, deciding to talk with her as a form of entertainment.
"Finally," Kassidy groans. Cameron's eyes flicker up to me, lips upturned in a warm greeting. "How long does it take for you to play one song?"
I don't answer as Cameron glances at his watch. "Apparently three hours."
I roll my eyes. "Just trying to make this place's prom as perfect as it can be." Sarcasm laces every word.
Kassidy rolls her eyes now. "Okay whatever." Then she releases a breath and smiles. "Cam and I are gonna go catch that new Marvel movie tonight. I was wondering if you wanted to come?"
I give her a flat look. "I already told you we're not friends. You don't have to invite me just because of the mannerisms the said invitation has."
Kassidy returns my expression, and Cameron's light eyes stay kind and honest. I've slowly realized over the past four days that I've known him that he's always so calm and generous. And he doesn't lie, not unless he's kidding around or playing innocent.
"It's not a pity invitation, Sam. And it's not just because we're being polite," He says. "If you wanna come, let's go. If not, then just do your thing." He shrugs.
Kassidy sticks her chin up proudly as if silently agreeing with her friend. I guess he'd said it all for her because she doesn't make a move to speak.
I sigh. "Okay, fine. Just this once."
Cameron's face brightens at my reply, and Kassidy grins. Cam smirks at me, but his eyes are soft. "Got it," He says. "Just once."
I roll my eyes and Kassidy laughs a little. She then gestures for us to follow her as she starts to walk down the hallway. Cameron playfully nudges me forward, and I stumble a bit before shoving him back a little. A small grin takes over my lips as we make our way out of the school and clamber into his 2004 Toyota Camry.

"Oh my God! No!" Kassidy wails, tears pouring down her face. People surrounding us shoot annoyed glares our way as her whimpers are heard throughout the scene.
"Kassidy, shh," Cameron hushes.
"I hate Marvel!"
I roll my eyes and sit back in the chair, watching as the little pixels float on the screen, diminishing away human form. Kassidy is crushed over this guy's disappearance and death, but I've never seen any superhero movie before. This doesn't affect me much. Or at all.
