QOC: What's your favorite breakfast meal? ( Eggs, strawberries, hash browns, and OJ for me.)

Prom is supposed to be every teenage girl's most amazing and wonderful night that kicks off the end of their last year in high school. It's the dance of all dances. It's where couples mess around and buy hotel rooms to have blissful sex after a fun night out with friends. It's where the best night of any adolescence's timeline happens.

But before I met the Ryhawks family, before I met Kyra, and before I met Cameron, I didn't feel any of the excitement.

Because I didn't work my ass off throughout a high school career — at least not academically. I didn't go through all the meaningless drama that most kids my age go through. I got the experience of a homeless adult who's trying to support her family — her only family. My sister.

There's the whole sick and dying thing too, but that's not even adult drama. That's elder drama. So at least I got to live in the older drama moments instead of the younger ones. Because looking back, I'm glad to have done something in my short lifespan that most wouldn't do if they got cancer at my age. I actually did something. Something meaningful.

I made a difference by taking care of my sister. I made a difference by proving to myself that I didn't need my parents to live. So as I'm going out of the world, I'm going out with honor.

Therefore, prom isn't something that should make me nervous. It seems so minuscule and vain compared to everything else going on in my life.

But it does make me nervous. Because I'm going with Kason, who says he loves me, and I love him. This night matters to him, because he wants it to matter to me. He wants to fulfill everything I'll be missing out on. He doesn't realize he already has filled in all my missing pieces though.

I've never felt love like he hands out. I've never felt so secure and happy, which is ironic considering the fact that my death awaits me shortly. But I guess I'm ready when it hits me. We'll see what happens once my soul decides to take a little road trip.

Anyway, where was I?

Right.

So prom is tomorrow. I have my dress, which he surprisingly bought for me without me knowing. I have shoes, and Kyra plans on doing hair and makeup for me. Kass and Ky even wanted me to go with them to do a full body wax/spa/shopping day with them today, but I'm just too tired to do all that. Besides, I probably scare the public when I go out since I need pounds of makeup to look even halfway normal.

Other than that, I had an internal excuse about why I wasn't going out today.

I'm going to figure out how to take Mr. Ryhawks down.

Since Cameron won't be here - instead spending time with his family since he hasn't in forever - and neither will Kason (who is out at the gym momentarily), I have the house to myself.

And Mr. and Mrs. Ryhawks.

And I guess Bailey too.

So now I'm walking around, looking for his office that I know he has planted somewhere around this giant place. Bailey trots by my side loyally...but also dumbly, because she's a dodo brain. A cute one nonetheless.
