DON'T PLAY SONG UNTIL I SAY FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE!!QOC: Describe where you see yourself in the future. (As for me, by the age of 40, I hope to have become a successful pediatric psychiatrist and live in a moderately nice home. I'd like to have two kids, an older boy and his little sister by two years, with my husband - if anyone is insane enough to put a rang on this thang. Lol. Oh, and one more thing: I wish to have published Wronged, and I hope that many teens (who are depressed or have anxiety or any other mental health issues) who have read it feel less alone.)

Sam's POV
O • o • OI think I've mentioned surprises. There's the good and the bad. And usually, I don't like them. Other times I do.
I'm not so sure about this one.
After my doctor appointment Kason made me go to, we all went out for ice cream. And by "we" I mean me, Kason, Kass, Kyra, and Cameron. But Cameron and Kason started acting all fishy, and said they had to split.
Kassidy was obviously disappointed to see her boyfriend leave, just as I was to see mine go. Only I wasn't so conspicuous and perceptional about it because my girl friends don't know about our status yet, and I want to tell them when we're alone.
Which apparently is today.
Kyra wasn't distraught over them leaving. In fact, she celebrated it, saying she needed to have some alone time with just us girls. I wasn't opposed per say, but my heartstrings still slackened the smallest amount when Kason abandoned ship with his friend.
And I'd like to stress the word friend because, well, I told you so. They act like pompous asses towards one another, but still hang around each other whenever they can. Cameron's showing blatant signs that he considers Kason a friend now, although it'll take Kason a little longer to reciprocate that because he's too prideful.
Anyway.
"You've barely touched your milkshake," Kassidy points out to me, nudging my arm with her shoulder. She's sitting to my left in the booth, Kyra sitting across from me on the other side. She raises a brow and eyes my sweet treat suspiciously.
"Yeah," she agrees. "Are you gonna eat it? 'Cuz I got room."
I shrug, sliding the tall glass over to her. "Have it."
I didn't want to say it out loud, but I am sure I can't stomach the whole thing without vomiting. Which is funny, because usually I'd eat all the milkshakes I can when I snatch the chance. But not so much now.
"You've had your own ice cream, half of Cameron's ice cream, and half of Kason's milkshake," Kassidy says in astonishment. "How can you have room for three quarter's of Sam's?"
Kyra narrows her eyes at Kassidy as she slurps the chocolate beverage through the purple straw. After she swallows, she crosses her arms and says, "You're just jealous that I can inhale so much goodness all at once. No one will ever have this superpower." She goes back to slurping, completely unbothered by all of the sugar she's digesting. To be honest, I kinda do wish I had that superpower.
Kassidy rolls her eyes. "Whatever. What are we going to do now that the guys are gone? We had plans with them." I hear the disappointment in her voice. It's evident she's already missing Cameron. I feel like they're really clingy for one another, but I'd never say it out loud. Besides, it's cute.
