The last day of school! Finally. Honestly, Pete's school year sucked. He was just pushed around all year round. The last month was bittersweet, though. Probably the best month he's had in awhile.
But now he was at the last period of the year and he was itching to get out already. Patrick said he'd try flying by during the summer, so he was excited.
"Have a great summer, make sure to get your yearbooks signed!" His teacher said right as the bell rang.
Students screamed as they rushed out of the room.
Pete frowned down at the blank autograph page of his yearbook. He liked having friends. Now he remembers why he joined the group in the first place; because he didn't want a repeat of eighth grade, where no one signed his yearbook. But he's back at that place anyway, so it was all useless.
He watched as people all around him walked around to eachother and signed their books. He signed and put his head down.
Suddenly, he heard someone open the book on his desk. He poked his head up and saw the brunette boy above him signing his book. Pete watched the pen write out Mikey's long message. Pete sat up and turned the book to him, reading the passage. Mikey stood there silently watching.
Sorry for not talking to you. I just needed to process what just happened and the bad stuff that guy told me about you. How you used me and stuff... but then I realized that he asked me about the thing. Which means you never told! That was kinda reassuring. I also thought about all the things you did, like how you tried cracking me out of my shell, you stuck around even after I told you the thing, and you calmed me from almost having a panic attack. I think you were the best friend I've ever had.
But I don't want to be your friend. I like you more than that.
-MikeyPete looked up at Mikey, who dropped the pen on the book.
"I didn't want you to leave school with an unsigned book," He said.
Pete got out of his seat and hugged Mikey. Not only that, he hugged him tightly. I hugged him with no plans to let go. Almost immediately, Mikey hugged back just as tight.
"You have no idea how terrible I felt when you stopped talking to me," Pete mumbled into Mikey's ear.
Mikey rubbed Pete's back.
"I missed you," Mikey replied, seperating their hug.
"You still mad?"
"Far from it," Mikey reassured.
Pete smiled, grabbing Mikey's book from his hand and signing it. It had a few signatures. His brother, a guy named Frank, another named Ray, and another named Bob. Man, he does have friends. But it's probably just Gerard's friends.
I ultra-kind of love you
-PeteMikey smiled as he read the message.
The two left the classroom at last. It was practically empty other than a few students left behind helping the teacher clean up.
"So, you like me?" Pete smirked.
"Yeah, and you like me?"
"Nope."
Mikey raised an eyebrow.
"I ultra-kind of love ya," Pete chuckled.
Mikey rolled his eyes and smiled. He grabbed Pete's hand and smirked as Pete started blushing. What can he say, he just loves this boy.
They were outside the school when Pete gained the courage to kiss the younger boy. He stopped them right in front of the steps. He took a deep breath before gently connecting their lips together. There was a spark. It felt as if electricity rushed down Pete's body from his lips down to his toes. That was also his first kiss.
They seperated and Mikey was blushing bright red.
"Aw," Pete smiled, getting Mikey's hair out of his face. "You're too cute. Wanna go to my house or yours?"
Mikey pointed at Pete.
"Alright, let's go!"
