Skye

I felt quite nervous as I looked at myself all dressed up for my first day at work. It's been hard to get used to the city life again.

Especially when I miss Justin so much and get reminded of every word he said to me. I really thought he was genuinely starting to like me. I wonder how he felt after he found out I left.

I was surprised when he called me last night. But just hearing his voice reminded me of all those things he said.

I made sure everything was switched off as made my way to the door.

Just as I opened the door, the doorbell rang and I gasped and stepped back when I saw Justin standing there.

"Justin?!" I said in surprise.

"S-Skye please, I need to talk to you,. please!" He said. He had some terrible bags under his eyes.

No I can't be this weak and fall for his empty words.

"I'm sorry but I have to go to work, I don't have time for this" I said and walked out making him step back.

"Work? That's bullshit, please come back with me, I beg you, I'll do anything I have to but please come back" He said and I shut the door. I took a deep breath and turned around to face him.

"Give me one good reason to come and I will" I said.

He patted his lips to speak but no words fell out of his mouth.

"Right so come back when you have a reason and I'll think about it" I said and walked away.

I dabbed away my tears quickly as I sat in my car and drove to work.

The first day wasn't really bad. I didn't make any friends but nobody was rude to me either. I wasn't in the mindspace to be social since I thought of Justin almost the whole day.

I need to start swallowing these thoughts and concentrate on my own life now.

I parked my car before getting into the elevator.

I'll probably just eat something and go to sleep now.

The elevator pinged when I reached my floor and doors split apart but I stopped in my tracks when I saw Justin sitting on the floor with his back against the door.

Oh my god, was he sitting here all day?!

He stood up when he saw me and licked his lips before speaking.

"I need you" he mumbled.

"What?" I said as I walked to him and stood in front of him.
