I laughed at Jayden as he kept trying to do the 'floss' but failed everytime. Everyone was laughing except the new guy that sat on the couch in the corner of my room. He seemed lost in his own thoughts as he stared into space.

I keep feeling that I've met him before but I can't remember when. Jayden said he joined the gang just days before my accident but when I woke up, he kept trying to hug me and was crying too! I don't think we'd get so close in just a couple days for him to care about me so much.

And i keep trying to brush this feeling off but everytime I look at him, a part of me feels happy but the other part of me feels sad. Like some longing, like he's something I miss. And that's so weird because I barely know him.

But the past couple days, I've noted that he's in the hospital twenty four-seven. He's the one who stays here every night. He's the one bringing me breakfast. lunch and dinner, making sure I took my medicines. I don't even have to call out for help when I need something. He's always around.

"Hey, Justin" I called him and he snapped out of his thoughts and looked at me.

"Yeah?" 

"You alright? You look a little lost in something there" I said and he shook his head.

"No no, I'm fine" He said and I nodded.

"Alright kids, time to go home!" Ella said and I sighed in relief.

"Finally!" I exclaimed and got off the bed.

"Whoa whoa, slow down, just because we're going home, doesn't mean you've recovered completely" Justin said in a warning tone.

"Oh shut it, I'm all fine now!" I said.

"No Skye, you almost smashed your head, do you understand how serious that was, you are going to listen to us until you recover completely" Ella said and I rolled my eyes.

"Okay Aunt Ella" I said and saw her fight a smile as she shook her head.

"Let's go now" She said and I put on my shoes while Justin strapped my backpack to his back and Jayden took the other bag. We thanked the doctor before leaving the hospital and got into the car and Jayden started driving us home.

The fresh air brushed past my face and I sighed in relief. I felt eyes on me so I looked beside me and saw Justin looking at me already. I smiled at him.

"So, since I've forgotten the part where you would've introduced yourself to me, let's do it again?" I asked and he shrugged and nodded.

"Sure"

"Why did you join the gang?" I asked and his face dropped.

"That's...That's a very long story, we'll talk about that sometime later?" He looked quiet uncomfortable. Obviously, he won't be comfortable right away to tell me about that.
