I ran all the way out of the Common Room, down the Marble Staircase and outside to the castle grounds. I take a deep breath, the tears still running down my face and look around. As expected, the place was empty since it was the first day of the holiday's, only a few students were outside and none of them took notice of me. Which I was grateful for.

Doing that to my only friends hurt. A lot. But I had no other choice. Sirius Black was a psychopath and I'm his daughter which means it's only a matter of time before I turn into a psychopath, and it's the best option to push everyone I'm close to, away. I don't want to be the reason they get hurt. Plus, in time they're going to hate me anyway. Harry already does. My father is the reason why his parents got murdered. Every time he looks at me, he's gonna see a killer and I can't deal with that.

I wipe my tears and rush across the grounds and down to Hagrid's hut. I don't know exactly why, but something drew me to him. But on the way, I got distracted by some beautiful, yet strange flowers growing in the grass and I missed three people rushing behind me.

By the time I got to Hagrids, it was too late to turn back. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were already there talking to an upset Hagrid and they had noticed me. I ignored the looks I was getting and was about to turn around when Hagrid spoke up.

"Bella, there you are. I wa wonderin' where you were,"

I smiled a small smile. "Sorry, Hagrid, I had to deal with something"

Hagrid raised his eyebrow but said nothing. He can read me so well, he opened his door to his hut further and we all followed him inside.

I stood as far as I could from the people I once called friends and took in Hagrids appearance. He was wearing a leather waistcoat and his eyes were red and swollen, the tears splashing down his front.  What's up with him?

"Hagrid, what is this?" Hermione asked, aghast.

I spotted an official-looking letter lying on the table.

Hagrid's sobs redoubled, but he shoved the letter towards Harry, who picked it up and read aloud.

Dear Mr Hagrid,

Further to our inquiry into the attack by a Hippogriff on a student in your class, we have accepted the assurances of Professor Dumbledore that you bear no responsibility for the regrettable incident.

"Well, that's OK, then, Hagrid!" Ron said, clapping Hagrid on the shoulder. I stood there awkwardly and watched as Hagrid continued to sob, and waved one of his huge hands, telling Harry to read on.

However, we must register our concern about the Hippogriff in question. We have decided to uphold the official complaint of Mr Lucius Malfoy and this matter will, therefore, be taken to the Committee of the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures. The hearing will take place on April 20th, and we ask you to present yourself and your Hippogriff at the Committee's offices in London on that date. In the meantime, the Hippogriff should be kept tethered and isolated.

Yours in fellowship...

After that followed the long list of the school governors.

"Oh," Ron said. "But you said Buckbeak isn't a bad Hippogriff, Hagrid. I bet he'll get off-"

"Yeh don' know them gargoyles at the Committee fer the Disposal o' Dangerous Creatures!" Hagrid choked, wiping his eyes on his sleeve. "They've got it in fer interestin' creatures!"
