Nash had gone home, so I changed into my PJ's and got into bed. I did my nightly routine before finally setting my alarm and covering my cold body in warm blankets. I closed my eyes and smiled, content.
Then the doorbell rang.
I frowned. Who would ring at this time of night? I don't think Nash left anything...
I walked over to the door, making sure nothing of Nash's was left behind as I went. I opened the door to the last person I would have expected.
"Shawn? What are you doing here?" I was getting really mad now. How does he even know where I live? I hate this guy, and he has already gotten Felicity worried sick.
"Hey, gorgeous." He slurred. Oh, great. He's drunk, too.
I rolled my eyes and pulled him into my apartment. I closed the door, careful not to wake any neighbors, and balled my fists.
"Where have you been?" It was taking all of my self-control not to scream at him. Drunk Shawn didn't seem to notice my anger, instead walked over to the remains of Nash and I's cake and helped himself. I followed him, getting out some aspirin and water just in case. He didn't even seem to notice my presence, he just focused on the cake until I cleared my throat.
"Hi. My name is Shawn." He smiled a cake-covered smile and held out his hand. I slapped my forehead and walked around him to the fridge, pulling out some juice. I poured some into a cup and drank it, not noticing Shawn staring until I had finished.
"What?" I asked, uncomfortable with the attention he was suddenly giving me.
"You're beautiful," he said. He clearly didn't know what he just said, because he turned back to the cake and continued to eat another slice. I blushed but caught myself in the act.
Don't be stupid, Rebecca! You have an amazing boyfriend, and besides, Shawn is drunk and doesn't know or mean what he is saying.
I ran a hand through my ponytail and looked at the clock. It was getting late, and if I wanted to get to work on time I needed to get to sleep. I took the cake away from Shawn (who 'wasn't done') and pushed him to the couch.
"Ok. I want to get to work tomorrow, and you're going to have a hangover. So, you're going to take this medicine, and I'm going to go to sleep. Deal?"
He paused a few seconds before replying with a small nod. I grabbed the water and aspirin and put them on the table in front of him. He stared at them for a few seconds before turning to me.
"Oh, come on. Surely you can take medicine even when you're intoxicated?" He looked at me confusedly before I decided to do it myself.
"Ok, open your mouth." He did as told, opening his mouth and adding an "ahhhhh!" I tried not to giggle, but it was too cute not to. I got a pill from the bottle and held it in my fingers.
"I'm going to put this in your mouth. I'll give you some water, and you need to swallow it. Ok?" He nodded, and I took a deep breath. I was nervous I would choke him, but then again I could live with that. I put the pill on his tongue and gave him the glass. He took a big gulp and successfully swallowed the pill.
"Yay! Now I'm going to sleep. You should too, considering the busy day you have tomorrow." I got up to walk away when he grabbed my wrist.
"Please don't leave me. I'm afraid of the dark." I smiled, containing a giggle, but immediately realized what he was saying.
"No, Shawn, I will not sleep with you. Now stay here and try to go to sleep." I walked to my bedroom and got into the covers. I was about to cut off the lights when I heard footsteps. I looked over to see Shawn standing in my doorway. I sighed, patting the space next to me. He walked over and laid down, instantly falling asleep. I rolled my eyes before realizing I should probably tell Felicity that I have Shawn.
Rebecca: Hey, I found Shawn. He knocked on my door and I'm keeping him here tonight. He's drunk and can barely walk. Just wanted to let you know:).
Felicity: Thank God! I owe you one
Rebecca: It's ok. Now he's complaining about being afraid of the dark...
Felicity: He must be really drunk! I'll come get him tomorrow morning and take him back to the hotel so he can get ready. Thanks again!
Rebbeca: No problem.
I sighed before turning off the lamp beside my bed. I rolled onto my side and was getting comfortable when I felt a pair of arms around my waist. My eyes widened.
I hate this, I thought.
Or do I?

Don Don Don! Plot twist! JK it really isn't. Ok I know that Shawn is a little too young to drink in America, but pretend that he is, ok? Rebecca has to be a little into her 20s anyway, so just pretend that Shawn is too. Love you guys!
