My room was about seventy five percent full. Hmmm. Some people weren't excited after all. I saw old and new faces. Some students wore their uniforms. Good thing! Some people didn't. Perhaps, some people still believed in what their parents say. (Usually, students enroll to schools where they finished their elementary years.)
As the math teacher was writing the requirements on the board. (You are right dad.) A handsome new student came in. Of course, I strategically sat on an armchair with no one sitting beside me because I didn't want to sit with old faces. I wanted to meet someone new. And my strategic plan worked. (heart heart) He sat beside me. (heart heart) While writing, I asked his name. "I'm Winston". (heart heart) The feeling was different. "Although I am shy, he should be my close friend first." Haha. Possessive? A minute or two, the teacher told us to get our Math book. Guess what! Guess who! Who doesn't have a book? Of course, my seatmate. He asked, "Can we share?" (heart heart to me) My heart beat fast. I didn't say anything. I just shared. Was I obvious?
I saw Blacky sitting behind me. He was a classmate in my elementary days. His parents and my parents were friends. He asked me why I was late. I told him I wasn’t. He tickled me. I was holding my laugh and turned my head and I suddenly focused on someone I didn’t want to see for a long time.
We all have our own enemies. There are people that truly get into our last group of nerves. It is true that we can't please everybody. What can I do? I tried to be kind, gentle, full of compassion, friendly...but there are really those people. Are there people out there who like all the people in the world?
