I witnessed the “Giving of Present Event”. (broken heart broken heart) Some students teased them. Some were smiling and shouting. (Awww!) I just couldn’t stop smiling. They looked so sweet. Their action towards each other…awww. The other boys always tried to push Winston towards Ailma. Winston tried to fight their push but he was in his weakened state. He was smiling, red-faced looking. Ailma tried to walk away but her classmates stopped her and also tried to push her. In my mind, part of me said: Aaawww…very good couple-to-be. But the other me shouted: Nooooooooo!
The present was handed! Ailma went to her room with her classmates, smiling, teasing, and laughing. My classmates and I went to our room doing the same. Everyone was like a festival occurred. Everyone was talking about the event. Some of my classmates talked about how everything started. Some of them enacted what happened on that day. I was happy that it wasn’t Dee that Winston liked. I was virtually heartsick.
I just stood there near the door of the classroom listening to everyone, talking, acting, smiling, teasing, and laughing. I went to my armchair and just looked at my classmates.
At home.
My father bought me a cell phone with antenna. It was kinda heavy. Though, he gave me one, I was not fully happy. It had no manual. (Hmmm. I didn’t know before that it was just a secondhand phone.) I practiced typing by using the three hundred pesos card that my father gave to me. Putting money inside the phone was a difficult task. I sent a message to some boys I met in the arcade. They replied. I practiced changing ringtones. Fantastic phone! It can play the chorus of my favorite songs. The ringtones cost fifteen pesos. I kept using the other features of my phone...until it was PUKed (Personal Unlocking Key). I accidentally locked my SIM card.
In life, we really can’t have everything, can we?
