After Science class, we went upstairs from the laboratory to the classroom. The Values Education teacher was there. She had questions written on the board for us to answer with a partner. And my partner was (drum rolls) Winston.

Questions one and two: What is simplicity? Do we need it?

I told him that simplicity is beauty. Hahaha. That was a common answer before. But I didn't know what I was talking about was just about the outer appearance. I told him that a simple face requires less action (e.g. putting on makeup). Winston has another answer on his one-half sheet of yellow paper. (I remembered it well.)

He wrote and said: Simplicity is having a life without having to do things that we don't have to do. Life is simple. We don't have to have all the things in the world. We must only choose the things in which we are happy at. Life leads to many doors, but we can only choose one path for each given situation. Just be simple and do whatever it takes to get what you want. If you succeed, well. If not, it wasn't for you. We need simplicity because we can still survive without having everything. We can still be complete without having all.

From that moment on, I realized that he is...he is...a smart first year high school student. How could he have answers like that? Oh! You're asking how I remembered all his answers during our breaktime? Well…

Copycat.

We submitted our answers on that day. The next day, our papers were returned. Winston was absent. The teacher told me to give his paper to him on the next day. I photocopied his answers. (I edited the grammar and spelling of his answers so that it would be more understandable)
