The Only Reason

Alex pulled up to Reece's house. I was wearing my black Converse with my black distressed shorts and Pink Floyd muscle tee. I knew Ashton was going to be there and I was ready to prove him that I had moved on to someone else.

Someone that didn't break my heart.

"So you ready?" Alex asked.

"Yep. I think so."

I wanted Ashton to see me with Alex.

"And don't get to caught up with Ashton cheating on you and everything. okay?"

"Okay."

I had a boyfriend and I don't plan on losing him the same day I got him.

As I walked into the house I saw Reece in the kitchen pouring drinks for everyone. His girlfriend Armoni was in the backyard by the pool.

"Hey, Lilly! You made it!" Reece called out to me.

"And you brought Alex, too." He looked at me making kissy faces

"Shut up!" I yelled at him throwing a red Solo cup at him.

"Missed me!"

Alex was over by the bonfire talking to Drew.

Nerds.

"It's your turn."

We were playing truth or dare in the living room. That's when I saw a pair of green eyes looking at me. I hated him. I hated him so fucking much. I wish he would go away. I went to look for Alex to show off to him.

"Hey want a drink?"

"Yeah. Sure." Alex answered.

"You okay? You look mad."

Of course I was.

"No I'm fine. Just trying to forget about Ashton."

"Good." Alex answered as he kissed my head and went to go get a drink.

Then something caught my eye.

Emma.

She was the worst slut out there. And she moved on from guy to guy pretty quick. So a relationship with her wasn't really worth wasting your time on.

Emma wasn't invited but she came anyway. Probably just to prove how badass she was.

"This party has been officially crashed!"

Like anybody cared.

A countryman giggle filled the room.

Ashton.

He was with Calum and Luke laughing at something, ignoring Emma. I know she would try to hook up with one of them tonight, without forgetting to leave them stranded later on.

"What are you doing here?" Reece asked with an attitude.

"You weren't even invited." Michael called out throwing a pizza crust at her.

"Hey! Watch it, galaxy hair! This is designer!"

I wonder if Emma thought that someone actually cared.

"I bet you fifty bucks it's not." Ashton snickered.

"That's it! I'm leaving!"

"And don't come back." Reece said, and closed the door.
