The Only Reason

The next thing I know I was looking at the ceiling. I don't know where I was or what happened. But it couldn't be good. I sat up and found myself looking at Lilly at my side.

I was in the hospital.

"Lilly!"

I reached out to hug her, but she pulled away.

"Ash, what happened?" She asked firmly.

The last thing I remember was insulting Mikey. I guess he beat me up.

"I....Don't really know." I answered, trying to remember everything. Then it came back to memory.

"You were meeting up with Michael at Starbucks and I got upset. I insulted Michael and he beat me up."

"I didn't think he meant like that..." Lilly mumbled.

"Meant like what? Who? Lilly, explain!"

I was demanding an answer.

"When he came out to say bye to me, he said for me to not let you get me upset. Michael said that he would keep you away from me if he can. And I guess that's what he did."

"Why would I make you upset?" I can't seem to remember.

"Ashton! Do you have amnesia?"

"I think so." I answered.

"Oh that's just great. Now you're just playing stupid with me."

"I'm not joking! Michael must have hit me pretty hard."

I hope she wouldn't leave me again. I loved her so much, even though it didn't seem that way. Whenever Lilly's mad she's so cute. Those brown eyes give me hope that she still loves me. All those girls are fun to hook up with, but it's not the same with her. Lilly's a special girl. I won't let any other guy take her away from me. Not even Alex or Michael.

"Text me when you haven't lost your mind." Lilly said and then slammed the door.
