Date/half-sister?!?

Robin forces us out of the house once we get home. "You two need to have some fun, by yourselves." She had said. Which I didn't mind at all. 

"So you're going to invite along your friend and her girlfriend?" I ask a tad annoyed that I don't get to have Diana to myself. "I was thinking so. It'd be fun. We could go to Switzer's and the ice-cream shop." Diana has a bright smile on her face. I want to whine and say that her mom had said go out by ourselves But I don't. She dials a number and talks quietly into the phone. After about a minute she walks over with a smile on her face. "They're coming, and we're going to meet at Switzer's." She grips my hand and we walk down the sidewalk happily, me forgetting any waves of anger earlier from more people released.

We walk into the fast-food restaurant and sit down at a booth. "Hello," Melody smiles. "Melody! Rose!" I smile happily at seeing my old friends. I hug them both. "I knew you missed them. We had a lot of fun stuck in a Ferris wheel." Diana chuckles and gives me a quick kiss. We sit down next to our partners and start chattering about whats been up in our lives. "Excuse me, folks. I'll talk y'alls order." A girl around our age with the name Ellery plastered on her name tag. "We haven't had time to decide what we want to eat. But we know what we want to drink." 

I eye Ellery a bit more and notice she has the lesbian short hairstyle and hazel eyes that look very similar to mine, speaking of similar her whole face looked relatively close to mine. "So what'd you like?" She asks Melody and Rose first they respond with vanilla coke. I raise my hand slowly, "yes? This isn't school y'know." She chuckles. "Um does your last name happen to be either Owens or Smith?" Smith was my last name before dad left, mom had it changed to her last name, that's why it rhymes. "Why yes, it's Smith." She smiles. I can tell Diana notices the similarities too. "Is your dad Kristoffer Smith?" I ask. "Mhm. Now if I could take your order-" I leap up and give her a big hug. "That means your my half-sister," I whisper in her ear. "Wha?" She gently pushes me away. I can see Rose, Melody, and Diana looking at us with curiosity. 

"How much longer is your shift?"  I ask. "Another half-hour," I tell her to meet us at the ice cream shop and then order a water. The rest of the time we spend at the restaurant, Diana questions me and Melody and Rose catch up with us. 

Thirty-five minutes later...

"My Dad left us a while ago, and that's his exact name," I tell Ellery. She looks stunned. "So, what's your mom's name?" I ask. Rose and Melody had let us have our space and wished us luck earlier. "Angela." Ellery frowns. "Wait, Angela was my dad's friend... She hung around with us sometimes. She was a brunette and was drop dead gorgeous." I mumble. "So, you're implying that Dad cheated on your mom from about day one and had me at the same time that he had you with your mom," Ellery looks stunned. "I guess so," I sigh. "This is too much." Ellery rubs her forehead. "I know, I have enough junk going on in my life." I sigh. "So," Diana scoots closer to me. "Let us exchange numbers that way we'll be able to chat. It's getting late and my mom will want us back." Diana regretfully tells us. We do exchange numbers both of us shocked.

That night I lay in my bed, a date night went to seeing Melody and Rose and then to a half-sister... No wonder he left mom, he wanted a supermodel look-alike wife. And he wanted Ellery. I feel anger and sadness that he cheated on mom and left her. I'm not sure if I should tell her or not. I could tell Ellery was shocked too, and I feel bad for her. She must've thought she had a perfect life...
