Grief

she sits alone,
and nobody sees,
the tears that fall,
unknown she wishes to be.
nobody understands,
or feels her pain,
nobody sees,
the cuts along her veins.
she has no one to turn to,
no one who cares,
sure she has friends,
but they're never there.
the doctors say depression,
her mother says grief,
but she looks down,
hiding her disbelief.
her baggy sweaters,
show no truth,
her long sleeves,
cover her youth.
that girl is dying,
that girl is alone,
that girl is tired,
none of her pain is shown.
