I couldn't hear anyone running behind me but I couldn't stop I was too freaked out. What Moonika had said about the prophecy was true I thought but does that mean she's going to die?. I stopped dead in my tracks at the sound of a gun shot. Then I saw a farmer and horses through the trees, he held a rifle in his hand, Oh thank the spririts I thought as I relaxed. I walked quietly towards them, "Excuse me sir?" I said.
"Who's there?" He cried as he held the gun up in my direction.
"Kalinda, please don't shoot!" I said walking out from under the trees shadow.
"Oh sorry to startle you deary" he said putting the gun down.
"Would you mind sir, if I borrow one of your horses?" I asked.
"Now, now I don't know about that" he said putting his gaurd on.
"Please sir, my friend is in trouble and I have to save her please!" I sobbed.
"Hey, hey girly we don't need the waterworks, here you can take Spirit shes a good horse" he said handing me the reins.
"Oh thank you kind sir!" I said grabbing the reins.
"No need to thank me darlin' just return her to me when you've done" he smiled. I nodded and climbed onto Spirit. "Good girl, c'mon" I said encouragingly "let's go save Moonika".
Galloping through the bush close to dark I started to worry, thoughts crowding my mind. Where will we camp? Where's Moonika? What if shes dead? "Kalinda!" said a voice, I almost fell off Spirit.
"Who's there?" I asked.
"Kalinda, get off the horse and sit down" said the voice. I stopped and cautiously sat down on the damp grass. Then suddenly I had a vision of Moonika standing on a rock staring straight at me, "Moonika?" I asked.
"Yes, now listen closly I have to tell you the prophecy so that if I die you can pass it on" she said.
