Moonika had severe injuries and was struggling to keep consious so I had no choice but to call the doctor. She would probably kill me when she found out I had exposed us both to people who will could possibly take us to authorities and end up in the hands of Agents, but I couldn't let her die. I went to her bedside and held her hand giving it a reassuring squeeze. Her hand returned the squeeze and I jumped back in surprise. "Moonika?" I asked. Her eyes flew open and she looked round the room then frowned.

"Where are we?" she asked quietly. I smiled glad that she was finally feeling better.

"At my house" I replied. She frowned.

"Are we in Sol?" she asked looking confused.

"Yes" I said as my mother walked in holding a tray of food. Moonika immediatly tried to sit up at the surprise of unexpected company, screwing her face up in pain as she did so. She sucked in a breath and decided to lay back down.

"Are you OK?" my mother asked looking concerned.

"Who are you?" Moonika asked cautiously narrowing her eyes.

"I am Kalinda's mother. Kalinda has spoken highly of you Moonika, know that you are safe here" mother smiled. Moonika relaxed and looking exhausted closed her eyes.

"Thank you miss" Moonika said quietly.

"Are you hungry?" asked mother.

Moonika shook her head and whispered "No". Mother walked to Moonika's bedside placing a comforting hand on her arm.

"OK then if you need anything please call out" Mother said softly. Stephie ran into the room then yelling "Hey Kali! Look at my painting!". I went over her to her and picked her up telling her not to disturb Moonika as I went to take her into the living room.

"Thats great sweetie" I told her.

She leaned forward and whispered "Kali guess what?".

"What? I asked.

"I can do something thats magic!" she said "But shh don't tell anyone".

I frowned "What can you do Stephie? Can you show me?". She nodded and pulled me over to sit on the couch. She stood not far away and put her hands out in front of her closing her hands into fists. When she opened them there were two small orange flames, one above each palm. I gasped and she laughed shaking her hands making the flames disappear.

I ran up the stairs back into the spare room that Moonika wa staying in. "Mum! Oh my gosh it's Stephie! She has got her powers!" I said quickly. Mother gasped.

"This young?" she asked. I nodded. Stephie was only 4 years old and usally people got their powers when they were around 7. Then they had to be sent to training almost everyday so they could learn how to use and control their powers.

"We will not mention this to anyone" Mother whispered urgently. I frowned puzzled.

"But we have to send her to training now" I replied.

"No we can not" Mother said urgently back.

"Why not? You know what it will do to her if it cannot be contained!" I said.

Mother grabbed my shoulders "You must promise me you will not tell a soul about this you understand me Kalinda? she whispered harshly. I was really confused now.

"But why mum? Whats going on? Tell me!" I said matching her tone. Mother looked away then pulled me out into the hallway.

"Kalinda I should have told you when you first came back home...Agents have been..." she swallowed looking scared. "Agents have been killing off the people who have got these powers, all the kids in your training class have been taken away by Agents and we believe they are dead". I looked away, horrified.

"And you decided to not tell me that my life could be in danger!" I hissed.

Mother looked at me and said sternly "We have told people that you had been in a car accident and killed the day that you went missing". I closed my eyes, this was all too much.

I opened my eyes "Where is Xia? Is she OK?" I asked eagerly, thinking about the last time I saw her with the gaurds. Mother frowned.

"We have not seen her or head any news since she left with you" she said. I felt a terror inside me that made me sick.

"Oh gosh" I sighed tears welling up. "Mum? I last saw her being taken away by Agents at knife-point, I tried to save her but they escaped while I was distracted and..." I choked on a sob as tears streamed down my face. I remembered the terror in her eyes as I realised I had been out numbered. Of course once they had her they left me alone. Mother hugged me tight as I sobbed into her shoulder.
