An Unknown Destiny...

Closure (Moonika's P.O.V.)

I wiped the tears from my cheeks as I took a deep breath in, calming myself. I walked along the porch and knocked on the door waiting to be let in. Kalinda opened the door relieved to see me, grabbing my arm and pulling me into the warmth of their home. We sat in silence not knowing what to say, I tried my best not to reveal how I was feeling inside. Faking smiles when she looked at me wishing she wouldn't ask me why I walked out of the house in a rush earlier. I sighed heavily. "Kalinda im sorry" I said quietly looking at her. She nodded in response but said nothing. I stood up and walked to the room I was staying in throwing myself on the bed. After a few minutes I heard the door open and I looked up and saw Kalinda leaning against the wall.

"OK what's up Moonika? Why are you acting weird?" she asked folding her arms across her chest.

"I was just remembering my sister thats all" I looked away, I hadn't told her much about my family let alone my dead sister.

"You have a sister?" she asked curiously.

"Had a sister" I said quietly on the verge of tears. Kalinda dropped her arms to her sides and walked over to the bed hugging me.

"Im sorry" she mumbled into my hair. I sat up shaking her off.

"Im the reason she's dead, and it tears me apart" I said my voice wavering with emotion. Kalinda smiled a comforting smile. "I just wanted to be alone to clear my head that's all" I told her. She nodded.

"Its OK. Anyway we have a big trek to Forlourne tomorrow, Mum got two horses from the neighbours so it shouldn't be too bad" Kalinda said. I nodded as I realised how tired I was. Kalinda left to go to bed. I lay there in the darkness, frowning at how emotional I had been today. It wasn't me to be so emotional, I usually held back emotions as we were told at training that it showed weakness. I finished training a year ago but already it felt like a decade ago, so much had happened in such a short time. I rolled over in my bed and fell into a dreamless sleep.
