“Okay, Ace, how does this look?” Jacob asked, sitting in his dark blue suit. Ace looked at him as he tried tying his tie. “Who even agreed with blue?” “your husband actually.” Vlad patted Ace on the shoulder, turning him to fix the tie. “You seem nervous, this is only the dressing.”  “the wedding is in two weeks, and i don’t have vows, a bouquet or made an appointment for the rings. Everything is just a mess.” Vlad smiled. “Listen, me and Jacob will get the rings later today. And you can use Ellie’s old bouquet, they watch to colours for the wedding anyway, Red, Black and white.”  “yet the groomsmen are wearing blue tuxedos.” tightening the tie, Vlad sighed. “Ace, you’re young, and what most of us want is to be young. What you are doing Ace is the one thing we all want.”

Vlad turned Ace to see himself in the full body mirror. The white suit hugged his curved hips as the cyan tie complimented his chest. A smile curved it’s way on Ace’s lips as he couldn’t believe his day was coming. He couldn’t believe he could’ve thrown all of this away if he had decided not to come to the school. He even begged Katherine to not let him go as he knew he’d be away from the people he cared about. He was now glad he hadn’t stayed home that one day.

“Ace, you okay?”

“I-i.. i’m fine. I guess just a little nervous and happy at the same time.”

“You sure this is the one you want? We can look at dresses if you’d like?”

Ace chuckled and shook his head. “No, this is perfect. Nothing too special.” “whatever you say, gay boy, get dressed back into your clothes as we can leave. The scent of perfume and women champagne is giving me a headache.” Jacob said, walking out of the suits. Vlad watched as Jacob left and grabbed ahold of Ace’s arm.

“Ace, i want to show you something.”

“What is it?”

“Since now everyone knows me and Alex got back together a month ago. And uhm.. A few days ago, he wanted to continued where we’d left off, to pretend we’ve never broken up..”

“Vlad, where is this going?”

Vlad now had a wide smile on his face as he raised his hand. There placed a large diamond ring with tiny sapphires circling the diamond.

“Vlad you’re..”

Vlad bit his bottom lip and nodded. Ace felt a jolt run through him as he eloped Vlad into a hug. Vlad was happy to hug him back, as Ace was the first person he told. Letting go, Ace smiled. “Oh Vlad, i’m so happy for you. Now when's the wedding?” Vlad laughed and pushed Ace’s head away playfully. “Now don’t give me that.” “what? You kept asking me the same question, now it’s my turn.”  Vlad kept his smile as he started for the dress room. “Just get dressed and meet us back at the lobby.” “okay, don’t leave without me.” “i promise we won’t, but hurry up.” Ace rolled his eyes as he walked over to one of the dressing rooms. Losing and locking the door, Ace hurried to undress and dress back into his original clothes. Zipping up his pants, Ace carefully put the suit together and placed it in one of those weird plastic bags.  Patting down his shirt, Ace looked in the mirror. There he watched himself get ready for a wedding, there he stood trying on the suit for the day that could either make or break his entire life. Taking in a deep breath, Ace smiled it off. He was going to marry the man of his dreams, going to be finally happy with him and his kids. What was there to complain about anyway? He was happy with Adrian, happy with his kids, their marriage was the very last thing to complete him.

Grabbing the suit, Ace quickly opened the door, just as he and another man frightened each other. Ace dropped the suit as he was startled.

“Oh jesus, i’m so sorry, i didn’t think anyone was in here.”  the man said as he picked up Ace’s suit. “I-it’s okay, accidents happen.”  handing Ace’s the hook, the man smiled. “Sorry if this seems personal, you heading anywhere with this suit?” he asked. “Getting ready for a wedding.”
