Journey 20: Missing Parts

╰Wicca's POV╮

"Damn that child!" nanggigigil na sigaw ni Arani. The four searchers were gathered here in a hall of the castle. We were just sitting and still waiting for the queen to come, "How dare him messing with my task. That angel was almost in my hands!"

I wonder who he is referring to.

Lamia rolled her eyes, "Correction. Our task."

"Really? You're just doing nothing but to sit here in this," Arani suddenly lowered his voice, "hellish place."

"Just so you know, I've already made my move."

I looked at her with my squinted eyes, "Since when? Have you already met her?"

"I still haven't. But when the moment she set her foot to that academy, I already knew that the victory's mine."

"Look who's talking." the fourth searcher cut in, "Should I be the one saying that? The triumph's mine in the first place. She didn't knew that I'm with her everyday."

"So, you're now talking about your infinitesimal victories." napatayo kaming lahat nang magsalita ang reyna. We expected her to come, but we didn't see her coming. How ironic, "Where's the Amullure, then?"

No one presumed to talk. Since I came here in this hall, I've heard nothing but their pretensions. Siyempre, hindi ako sumali sa kanila. Why would I partake? I still haven't done my best part.

The queen clouted the table. The force just destroyed the table, "You doofuses! How long will I bide one's time to get that phylactery?"

Just wait for two years, my queen.

"Verily, our queen, I have a problem. And soon, it may be everyone's problem." Arani spoke while bowing his head. What is he talking about?

"Just tell me if you want to quit." the queen sounded annoyed, "I can just give over this task to someone who's more meritorious in exchange of your—"

"Your son—I mean, the prince." he interposed. I promptly furrowed my eyebrows after hearing about the prince, "He's been protecting the angel causing to deter our task."

Prince Samael? Why would he do such thing?

"Yes, my queen." the fourth agreed, "Looks like the angel and the demon are so close."

"I see. That would be a problem." the queen became sobered of what she heard, "Fine. Just do your task, but keep in your minds that Samael shall not be harmed." matalim niya kaming tiningnan bago siya umalis.

The four of us parted ways without even saying a single word. Nobody cares about each other's businesses. We only cared about one thing.

We cared on how to survive in this conflagration.

I walked towards the castle's dungeon. There, I saw her. She was staring blankly at a wall. Tila natauhan lamang siya nang mapagtanto niyang nakatingin ako sa kaniya.

"Wicca!" she blurted. I looked at the warden who was guarding her all the time. He nodded and left like he knew what I meant, "How are my children?"

"Felicity," I gaze intently into her eyes, "I'm sorry."

I really meant what I said. I took a glimpse on her long black hair. I just remembered the time when I first saw her with her blonde hair. Her daughter resembles her in appearance.

"Don't be sorry, Wic." she chuckled after that. I must say that she hasn't changed a bit, "I understand why you are doing this."

"There's nothing new about your eldest. And don't worry about your daughter, I heard that she has some friends who are willing to protect her." I became hesistant on telling her about her youngest, "Your youngest, I still haven't found him."
