Number 20: Rage Apps

There's such a time when some company decides to make an app that becomes really popular so everyone plays it for at least 1-2 weeks and then doesn't bother to touch it ever again. It just sits there and takes up space on your phone. Some of these apps are some that can get you so frustrated that you want to kill someone. I'm talking about the games designed for smart phones that are so frustrating, you threw your phone at a wall.

At first, they could be annoying because you're a noob at the game. But as you play it more and more, you start to get better and better, and at some point in time, you reach a certain point where you get so angry that you didn't get the high score you wanted causes you to be incredibly violent. More violent than you need to be. And it's so unnecessary to get so angry over a game. I don't see the point in it.

Today, I'm going to list 5 of these types of games that everyone should know about and have basically been "swept" through my group of friends. Meaning, they play a game for about a week. One day, it's always the main conversation, and the next, it's like it doesn't existed. And I'm sure it's the same in many other groups.

#1. Flappy Bird

Now everyone should know by now that this game has been taken off The App Store and Google Play because the creator got sick of the hate he got because the game was so frustrating. And also because I heard that someone killed their sibling because that got a higher score then them. I hope that's not true because Jesus fucking Christ, it's a game!

For those who don't know what it is, Flappy Bird and game where you tap the screen to get a bird between pipes. If you tap the screen, the bird flies up, if you stop touching, the bird goes down. Object of the game is to get through as many pipes as possible without hitting anything. Doesn't seem like a game to rage over. Well guess what, you're so wrong! Millions of people got so frustrated that they have destroyed their phone out of pure anger. Seems stupid, I know. But fuck sakes, it's an annoying game. One of my friends said the bird looks like a vagina with wings.. No wonder it has "flappy" in the name.. Anyways. The game has hundreds of altered versions of the game, all with different names but usually have the same objective. I see why you need so many different version of the one stupid game, it's either the original or nothing. Some say that since its been removed from App Store and Google Play, you have to not delete it, and that's the real challenge. Tell me what your high score is. Mines 95.

#2 dETRIX

This one is a bit funner I suppose. You are two blocks, and you have to get through as many obstacles as you can to achieve a high score. Every ten obstacles, the speed of the game gets faster to make it more challenging. If you tap the bottom right hand corner, both blocks goes to the right, if you tap bottom left hand corner, both blocks goes to the left. If you tap both corners, the blocks split and of you let go, they both go back to the middle. Oh, and you unlock different designs. Pretty straight forward. But the frustrating level is way up there. You might do a wrong more or you were quick enough. It's frustrating because you're about to beat your score, you get excited but you're focused, and you do a wrong move. You freak the fuck out and throw your phone half way across the room, but still, it's just a game! This one is still for purchase for Apple and Android products. Tell me your high score. Mines 89 and tell me what design you have. I have Chiller.

#3. Piano Tiles

You have to have a good hand-eye coordination to get an impressing score in this one. All you have to do is to not touch the white tiles. The game gets faster as you go along. But it's frustrating because sometimes the game is so fast that the blurry squares start to hurt your eyes and it's hard to keep going. So you usually fail and lose. And that's pretty fucking frustrating. And there's different modes to get even more frustrated with. Like, lightning is annoying as fuck. Zen is stupid. The only good ones are classic and arcade. I almost threw my friends iPad across the room because I tapped a white tile. And there's also different kinds of the same app. They mostly have a different main menu designed but it's basically all the same nonetheless. Tell me what your high score is. Mines 578. And tell me what colour scheme you have. I have purple and white.

#4. 2048

I hate this game but it a good puzzle game. I can never get to the tile 2048. I get to 1024 and I have no more moves. Frustrating. So this game, you have to combine two of the same number together to get the answer. E.g. 2 and 2 make 4. 4 and 4 make 8. 8 and 8 make 16 etc. and you keep doing that until to make 2048 and the board is 4x4 so it's not really that big to work with. But you just have to have good puzzle solving skills and a lot of time. Two things I don't have. So when I run out of spaces, I get so angry because its an easy game but you just can't get your head around it. Tell me your high score. Mine 10,467. And tell me the highest tile. Mines 1024

#5. Temple Run 1&2

These have been on the App Store and Google play for a long time but still frustrating. You basically have to get the highest score you can while avoiding obstacles. And the game speeds up as you go along. But this one, unlike all the others, has power-ups. And you can upgrade them too. Oh, did I mention you're being chased by three mutant monkeys because you stole something valuable to them and the game is based around you escaping. Yeah. I should've mentioned that earlier. Oh well. Anyways, like the rest of them. You get frustrated when you died and you want to throw your phone half way around the world because you're unnecessarily angry over dying in a game. A stupid game! Oh yeah, you get to unlock different characters to play with and you get to buy 3 wallpapers. Pretty good. But still frustrating as fuck. Tell me what your high score is. Mines 2,385,587 (I used alot of power ups) and which person do you used? I used the girl in white clothing.

So based on all these games, they tell me that people get angry over the stupidest shit ever. They are just games! Get the fuck over it! You'll get better if you keep playing. Just calm the fuck down.
