(16) Bryce's POV

I saw Mel get on the bus and I head straight for the airport, My cousin Makayla and her family was coming from New York and don't have enough money to get a rented car, plus I miss them like hell so I didn't mind picking them up.

I took Monica and Chandler, my aunt and uncle (hehehe) to their new house and said our goodbyes while I took Makayla to school to show her the ropes, it's her senior year here, I don't want her to be left behind

We enter In the front of the school and already people are staring, I scowl, damn I get she's pretty but come on she's my cousin have some respect

I head by the main office to get her schedule and ask if she has any questions

"Nah seems pretty decent to me"

"Decent? Come on Makayla, give me a bit more oomph"

She stares at me with eyes asking if I was crazy

"Oh shutup, aren't you a bit happy you're here" I smile, my family is the only one that can make me smile an actual smile

Well them and recently Jessica

Throughout the whole day I give Makayla all my attention, trying to make her feel welcome and showing her to her classes

We stop right outside the girls bathroom "okay I get you're following me everywhere but please stay outside for this one"

"Well sorry for being a good cousin"

"The word is over protective cousin"

I push her inside and chuckle, looking around, I found Jessica at her locker pulling out her books and putting the old ones in

She's so beautiful, I swear I don't know how she thinks so badly of herself, every little thing she does is so beautiful and perfect

And I sound like a complete sap

Makayla walks out of the bathroom the same time Jess walks away and I face her finding her staring at a poster  for homecoming

"Oh no please don't say you want to go to that"

She gives me her biggest pouty face just like she did when we were kids "stop, it won't work on me"

"Come on pleaseeee, I just came over here, think of it as my initiation into the school!"

I give her an annoyed expression and started walking to the cafeteria  "but now I actually have to buy a tux"

"What happened to your tux collection"

"One. We don't speak of that. Two. Out the window. Left at lances house"

She scrunched up her nose "ugh fine I'll go with you tonight to get a tux, I'll even pay"

"Tuxes are expensive mija" I roll my eyes and leaned against the wall next to the jocks in the cafeteria since she is drawing a liking to one of them

"And? I got money saved up, I actually worked you know"

"And I had to pick you up?!? Such an inconvenience" I fake sucked my teeth giving her a little smirk

"Oh shutup you know you wanted to"

"Maybe, maybe not well never know"

She giggles "Well I'm glad your still the same old B."

I sigh "Maybe with you, I'm so uptight..with most people"

"Most people oooh" she wiggled her eyebrows

"Oh shutup" I push her shoulder "it's not like that, and plus I'm not thiiss free with her"
