Leaving Tonight

Betty's POV
Jughead is leaving later tonight but he is about to leave the student lounge and head to pops to write. He of course brought his laptop to write. I guess he just writes Betts fun that booth of his in pops. "Alright Babe, I gotta go. I love you." Jug Said standing up.

"Love You too. I'll see you after school?"

"Yep. Meet me at pops ok?"

"Ok." I Said kissing his cheek. He grabbed his keys and stuff and left after saying goodbye to the rest of the group. Then the bell rang signaling class. I groaned and stood up. I trudged down the hallways with V by my side, already wanting to leave school ten minutes in. We got into Math and sat at our desks. Our teacher went through a bunch of boring stuff as I zoned off, my mind wandering to a certain beanie wearing boy.

"Miss Cooper?" My teacher asked.

"Oh- uh, yes?" I asked.

"Can you please simplify the problem on the board?" She Asked obviously testing to see if I knew it or not which I obviously did because I'm always ahead in my classes.

"It's 2x squared ma'm" I replied.

"Correct..." She said continuing on with the lesson.

Finally after three more classes it's time for lunch. I walked through the lunch line with kev and V. They were gossiping and I honestly wasn't listening to a word they were saying. I still kept thinking about Jug and if it was the right decision to stay In riverdale. I mean I obviously can't leave my family and friends but riverdale isn't safe anymore. Jug also wants to keep me safe but he has to be there for Jelly. I knew me being away from him would consume him with worry. I didn't know what to do anymore.

"Uh are you listening B?" V asked slightly aggravated. I was getting irritated because I had issues to deal with at the moment and I didn't have time for gossip. There is a serial killer on the loose and the love of my life has to go to Toledo because his sister has cancer. And gossip is what they care about.

"No. No I am no." I replied rolling my eyes and strutting away from them. They quickly followed.

"What's with your attitude?" V asked. Veronica is generally the sweetest person ever but if you talk back to her she will go off.

"V I don't know if you understand but there's an serial killer on the loose. And Juggie has to be in Toledo, an hour away from me, because his sister has cancer. And see the predicament here is that I don't know if I should stay in riverdale or leave. And judging from YOURE attitude right now I think I should leave." I snapped angrily.

"Ok I'm sorry that's happening but that's no reason to have an attitude with ME." She stated.

"Yeah well you know some people have other issues than just daddy issues Alright." I snarled. She just rolled her eyes. I did as well before turning around and walking to our table. I was infuriated and the only thing that would make it Better was seeing my amazing boyfriend.

As I sat down at the table Archie could sense the tension as v sat down as well. Kevin just sat awkwardly. I started eating my food rather aggressively.

"So... how was your day?" Archie asked.

"It was fine." I mumbled. He just nodded. We all ate in silence. Right now I wish Jughead would just waltz up behind me and hug me. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and my wish came true. My amazing beanie wearing boyfriend was standing there with a bag full of pops. "Juggie!" I gasped immediately standing up and hugging him.

"Hey Betts. I brought food for you. Oh and a rose." He said pulling a rose out of his pocket. I laughed and took it.

"Aw Juggie. I love you so much." I Said kissing him quickly.

"I love you too." He said. We both sat down. He handed me the food and I ate, now smiling like a dork.

"You got nothing for me?" Archie asked sarcastically. I laughed and so did Jug.

"Who knew Jughead could be so sweet." Kevin swooned. I giggled leaning closer to Jug as he wrapped his arms around me.

"Finally some sweet to balance out her salty." Veronica mumbled.

"Excuse me V?" I Said shocked. Jughead looked enraged.

"Ok Veronica I don't know who spit in your coffee this morning but you shave no right to say what you did to my girlfriend. She's been going through a rough time ok and she doesn't need you being rude to her. I don't need that." Jug states angrily.

"She was being rude to me earlier!" V said.

"Mhmm. What'd she say?" Jug asked arms crossed.

"I asked her if she was listening. She said no and gave me sass." Veronica said. Archie and Kevin looked uncomfortable in this tense situation.

"That's not her fault. Things were clouding her mind. She just answered honestly. And she doesn't need her so called best friend being rude to her in a time like this when she has so much going on. You don't even know the half of it." Jughead Said standing. He grabbed all of our stuff and laced our fingers together. "Come on betts. We're leaving." Jug Said. I nodded. I hopped up and gave apologetic looks to Kevin and Archie.

"Look. I'm sorry for giving you sass but things have been happening and I'm just stressed. I'm sorry. But if you, My so called best friend, can't see that hen maybe I should go with Jug to Toledo because my friends here obviously are not good friends." I Said before walking off with Jug.

"I'm sorry Betty". Jug Said.

"It's not your fault babe." I Said. He just nodded. We walked off under a tree and finished our lunch. Afterwards I had to finish my classes.
