Dates and Promises

Jugheads POV
Today I planned a date for Betty and I. I was really excited to see her reaction. I hope she liked it. We haven't really had an official date since I moved back so I Thought it'd be nice to have one. Plus she can stay over at my house. "You Ready betts?" I Asked.

"Yeah. I'm coming." She Replied rushing down the stairs to peck me on the cheek. We linked hands and I led her to the car. She was wearing leggings, my S shirt, her hair in her signature ponytail, and white high top converse. I was wearing black joggers and a light gray S shirt. "So I'm guessing it's not fancy." She Said motioning towards her clothes.

"Sadly no but I think you'll like it." I Said getting into the drivers seat and starting the car.

"Ok. I like anything as long as it's with you." She Said sweetly kissing my cheek. I smiled.

"Me too love." I Said. We drove off and left. After a little while we passed the riverdale sign. 'The town with pep'

"Wow. Is it far away?" She Asked looking back at riverdale.

"Sort of. Another hour or so." I Said focusing on the road. "Why don't you try sleeping love." I suggested.

"Alright." She Said reclining her chair and falling asleep. I grinned widely. After a while of driving we arrived. I woke up Betty and she groaned. "Are we there?" She grumbled sleepily.

"Yep. Come on betts." I Said helping her out of the car.

"Why are we at the beach? You didn't tell me to bring a swimsuit!" She exclaimed.

"That's because I brought one for you." I Said pulling one out. She smiled. We both got dressed and ran into the ocean. She squealed in delight.

"I haven't been to the beach in so long. Thank you for this." She Said wrapping her arms around me. I grinned.

"So you like it?" I Asked. She nodded quickly smiling from ear to ear "I'm glad. But the date isn't over yet." I Said.

"There's more?" She gasped with a huge smile plastered onto her face.

"Yep." I said unable to wipe of the large grin on my face. We continued hanging out and having fun. Betty was so happy the whole time it made me feel really proud for making her this happy. Right now we are strolling along the beach. "Ok. Another reason I asked you on a date is because... I love you. So much it's crazy. You're my Juliet, the love of my life, my little sleuth. I love you so so so much. And I want to promise to one day take your hand in marriage and have a family of our own someday." I Said holding out a beautiful ring.

"Jug." She gasped covering her mouth with her hands. The ring was just a plain silver band with a diamond encrusted crown on it.

"So. Will you accept my promise?" I Asked. She nodded quickly. I slipped the ring on and she squealed with delight.

"I love it. Thank you Juggie. I can't wait to tell V all about this!" She squealed. I pulled her into a hug and picked her up. She wrapped her legs around me. After a while we continued to talk and play around. We eventually went out to eat. We ate at a nearby pizza place. After eating I led her back to the car. "Is it done?" She Asked with a hint of disappointment in her voice.

"Not yet love. Now come on." I Said opening the trunk. She looked at it and was shocked. She gasped.

"Omg! Juggie thank you!" She gasped. The trunk was full of blankets and pillows and the car was set up so we could watch the sun set in the distance. There was even flowers for her. "Thank you so much! I love it!" She Said.

"Anything for you. Now come on."
I Said helping her into the trunk. She got settled and smiled. I crawled in after her. As I was crawling I She said something making me freeze.

"This is the best day ever Jug thank you. I love it." She Said.

"Really?" I Asked looking up at her with a smile.

"Really. Thank you." She Said

"Your welcome." I replied smiling. I sat down and cuddled up beside her with a rather large smile on my face. "I love you." I Said.

"I love you more" She Said happily. After the sun set we packed up everything and I drove us home. Betty couldn't stop saying thank you and I love you the whole way home. It made me laugh. She was super giddy and energetic. I think she really did love the date. I'm glad she did.

Once we got back to riverdale I drove straight to my apartment in the pembrooke because Betty already told her mom and she had a bag packed in the car. Plus she was eager to tell Veronica. We got back to the pembrooke and I led her into my apartment with my family. Everyone greeted her at He door. After exchanging hellos with everyone she went to stop at Veronica's for a bit. I relaxed. I was ready to see how my parents would react to her staying over. I mean they already knew she was going to but how would they feel?
