The first thing Lance felt when he woke up was Keith. They had fallen asleep cuddling and Lance was so relieved it was over, that they weren't ignoring each other anymore, that they were together. He nuzzled his nose into Keith's shoulder and smiled against the fabric of Keith's shirt.

After a short while, Lance heard Keith yawn. "Morning honey~", Lance cooed. Although he wanted to seriously say it, he decided to say it teasingly to not seem too cheesy. Keith still smiled.

"You don't have to prove how cool you are, Lance."

"I wasn't..."

"I already know."

"Aw come on Keith, stop being sweet!"

"I will be as sweet as I want to, just because I can!"

"By the way...", Lance said "I wanted to talk about that."

He made a serious face and sat up, Keith did the same. The fear in Keith's heart was back. Why would Lance want to talk about that? Did he change his mind about them?

"I've been wondering... what are we? I mean, what does all this make us?", he asked and looked at Keith. Keith shook his head and hesitantly asked back: "What do you want us to be?" Lance blushed. "I...", he began. He pulled Keith up. Keith sighed. "All right, on the count of three.", he suggested and Lance gladly agreed. "One, ...", Keith began. "Two, ...", Lance continued. They looked into each other's eyes and Keith opened his mouth. "Three.", he said.

"Will you be my boyfriend?"

They burst out laughing. "Well, I guess that does that...", Lance laughed. They had both said the faithful sentence at the exact same time. "So will you?", Keith asked. "Of course I will!", Lance answered chuckling "Will you?" Keith nodded. "Lance, you have no idea how long I've wanted to hear that question."

Lance could tell Keith was relieved. And Lance felt at ease as well, now that they were a thing. Over a week ago, Lance wasn't even sure they could properly be friends. He didn't know how that was going to work with all the hate he had felt for Keith in the past. Evey time he had thought about Keith, his stomach had felt all weird and twisted and he was unable to think clearly. Lance had never felt at ease around Keith. He figured that he admired the black-haired boy way more than he thought and that he wanted to prove himself to Keith. That was the reason for what Lance had thought was rivalry before. And then they had met Allura and she was undeniably beautiful. Maybe he wanted to show Keith that he didn't need him or he wanted to make him jealous. So he started hitting on Allura regularly.

Keith's thoughts also drifted back to the altean princess. Back to that morning after he had spent the night in Red with Lance. "Hey, I wanted to still ask you something.", he said "Why did you still flirt with Allura after you kissed me that night?"

"Huh? Allura? When?"

"After the night in Red."

"Oh, that. Keith... I didn't kiss you, remember? You kissed me."

"Uh..."

"Are you blushing?", Lance asked smiling.

That's not the point!", Keith answered quickly.

"You're right, sorry. But as I recall, I didn't flirt with her since I left with you..."

"No, in the morning, when I was in the dining room with her. You asked her if she slept well and how she was doing..."

Lance looked at Keith confused. "What... Lance! You even called her beauty! Don't tell m...", Keith shouted, before Lance interrupted him.

"Keith, I wasn't flirting with Allura. I was talking to you." Keith looked at Lance confused, but with relieve and hope in his eyes. "Didn't you see me looking at you?", Lance asked. Keith shook his head "You looked at me, really?" Lance huffed "Of course. How can I not? I meant what I said, beauty!" Keith blushed and quietly argued: "Stop being sweet."

Lance smiled and looked at Keith. "I will be as sweet as I want to be, now that I can."

Author's note:
Okay, I don't really like how this chapter turned out... I couldn't find a good way to write the part where they asked each other out. I didn't know who was supposed to ask, so they both do now.
