Chapter Fifteen: Stage 14

You woke up to the sound of coughing.

Wait coughing?

Your sleepy eyes immediately bolted wide open as you sat up from your bed and looked around the room. Eventually, your eyes landed on your brother who was still lying on the bed.

You worriedly got up and walked over to his bed. You then lifted your hand and touched his forehead, while scanning his coughs and heavy breathing.

You silently cursed. He was burning hot.

"Sigh, what do we do now?" Jin asked while he stared at Kookie worried.

The rest of the members had woke up and joined you in the room when they heard you scrambling through the kitchen cupboards for a cold patch. You had told them that Kookie had a fever, which of course resulted in the whole group cramping in their room.

"We have a fan meeting and Jungkook is suppose to be appearing in Mask Singer later today as well." Namjoon stated with his fingers scratching his head.

"Can't we cancel it?" Jimin questioned.

Namjoon sigh and shook his head, "Manager Seijin had stated that it's highly important. Maybe ARMYs would understand but I don't think the staff at Mask Singer would be pleased."

"Well, he can't sing like this. Must less stand up." Yoongi gestured towards Kook who was trying to sit up with the help of Tae.

"It's....fine guys.....I can...make it" Kookie huffed out with another cough at the end.

"No Kooks, your face is burning red and we do not need you to push yourself. Stay and rest ok? We'll figure something out." Tae said as he pushed Kookie back onto his back to lay on the mattress.

"Easier said than done. How do we tell Bang pd-nim about this? That Kookie caught a fever because he and Tae was playing with puddles of water when it was raining outside?" said Jin, which made everyone turn their heads to Tae.

"What can I say? I have a great immune system." He chuckled back while everyone else just shook their heads.

The room got quiet, aside from Jungkook's heavy breathing, everyone thinking of a solution for this. It would upset ARMYs so much without the whole group there and the chances of Mask Singer to forgive us on cancelling on them last minute are close to none.

"Well, I don't really like this but we don't really have much of a choice." Hoseok said out loud, breaking everybody's thoughts.

Everyone turned their heads to him, questionly.

"How about we have Y/N be Jungkook?"

"This is NEVER going to work! I'll be found out and everything will be ruined!" You yelled out in Jungkook's clothes while the members were trying to drag you out of the dorm.

"Y/N relax! You guys are legit identical twins, except for us and your parents everyone else can't even tell who is who." Jimin said while pulling your arm.

"I bet 20 that when the manager comes, he won't even notice." Tae grinned behind you because he was pushing your back.

"I bet 30 that he'll even call you Jungkook when he talks to you." Jin inputted with his strength too pulling your other arm.

"Besides, I'm sure you portrayed as your brother before and they all fell for it." Yoongi said while he was standing by the door, too lazy to bother to even push you out of the room.
