Chapter 47

*Zach's POV*

"Just give it up Hale, your pack is even weaker than I thought!"

Derrek picked me up by the chest and slammed me onto the ground. He grabbed me by the throat, tight enough so that I couldn't breathe. I began to kick both of my legs and throwing up my arms, trying to gasp for air. I was minutes to death.

Lydia and Stiles both rushed over.

"Oh my god, Derrek your killing him!" Lydia screamed, then covered her mouth.

Stiles tried to stop him, but Derrek pushed him over. Almost causing him to fall on the ground. Stiles and Lydia got the message and slowly walked away. They stood in the background with the others, as everyone watched to see what would happen next.

I looked at Derrek's eyes , noticing they were glowing a light blue as he roared. He lift one of his claws into the air, preparing to slash open my throat. This was it.

Suddenly, out of no where loud thunder occurred. Then large lightening bolts appeared, one  of them hitting the ground powerfully. It shook the ground, causing a huge crack. Derrek quickly got up, releasing his grip away from my neck. He started moving backwards, stepping away from the crack.

He looked down, "Oh my god..."

*Derrek's POV*

I looked down at the crack, noticing that it was beginning to open and causing a huge hole. If any one falls in, they'll be a goner. Not to mention, fire was at the bottom mixed with hot boiling lava because of the earths core.

"Everyone, move now!" I said, starring to run away.

For some, it was too late. Half of the Coyotes have already fallen down and died instantly inside the deep hole. Scott, Sky, and Allison were ahead while the rest were running behind me. The crack was spreading and opening fast each step i made. Somehow I didn't out run it and fell inside. Luckily I was able to hold on to the edge.

I was terrified and figured this was the end. "Oh, shit!"

*Princess's POV*

(Her Home...)

Its 10:00pm and Derrek still hasn't call or text me back. This wasn't like him at all. I was beginning to feel worried now and wondered what was up. I tried thinking hard of what he could being doing late at this time.

Just then, something had finally kicked in my brain. I remember when Sky told me she had training with Scott and the rest in the evening. "That's it!" I thought and got up. Derrek was with the pack battling Zach and his group of Coyotes.

"Oh lord.."

I quickly threw on some simple clothes and a pair of white gym shoes, heading out the bedroom door and running downstairs. Both of my parents were  asleep. I tip toed pass their room and then went out the back door instead of the front. Once I made it out,I hopped on my black bike and rode on to the woods as fast as I can. My baby Derrek was probably in trouble.

*Sky's POV*

(Back in the woods)

Me , Scott, Allison, Isaac, Ethan, Aden, and Mimi were running for our lives. We were ahead of everyone else. I then came to a stop, hearing Derrek's wolf cries for help. He was in trouble. We had to go back and save him. Just as I turned around, Scott and Allison both stopped too.

"Why did you stop Sky? A giant crack is heading our way!" said Allison.

I looked at Derrek, seeing him hanging at the edge of the Clift for dear life. "We must go rescue Derrek, he's going to fall off sooner or later if we don't do something!"

Scott nodded, "She's right!"

Allison sighed, biting her bottom lip nervously. "I don't know...what if one of us fall in? I mean, look at all that hot boiling lava down there!"

"He's our pack leader, we cant afford to loose any more pack members. Its bad enough we lost Erica and Boyd! We 're a pack and we stick together no matter what. If it wasn't for Derrek, I wouldn't even gotten this far..." replied Scott.

I nodded and then started to walk ahead, "Yeah, now come on!"

Scott also followed behind me except for Allison. She was still unsure. Eventually, she joined along and ran over to catch up.

"Wait up guys!" she yelled.
