Chapter 2 "The Plantation"

We pull up at the plantation I park the car Hailey stares at the the old house and says damn it's huge! She Grabs Oakely and we unlock the door! It's just like we left it my oil paintings still hanging on the walls and sheets covering the furniture! I pull the sheet of the couch and Hailey sits Oakely down while we dig the through the pantry for food! We find a can of plums, chicken noodlesoup, and a can of green beans! It's not much but for now it will have to do I tell Hailey! I open the drawer and grab the can opener and three spoons! I tell Hailey to watch Oakely I grab my gun walk out the door an head to the well for water! I grab a bucket and begin pumping the water I look around cautiously my gun tucked in to the back of my pants. I fill the bucket and start to walk back to the house I make it to the door. Hailey says great you got water! I look at her and Oakley and tell them we should be safe here for awhile the zombies are mainly in the city! We start to settle in Hailey boards up the windows I pull the sheets off the beds! I light the lantern and sit right next to Oakley on the couch! She ask about mom and dad I tell her they are trying there best to get back to us! Thoughts run through my head could they be like the rest compelled to the hunger for flesh with cold ghostly stares I shake my head to get away from the thought! I look at Hailey and ask her what happened to her family! A tear rolls down her face and she says they are gone! I look at her and say we gunna do your best to Survive and tell her to follow me I roll up the carpet and lift up a board she says holly shit! There are ten guns and a sword! She has a glimpse of hope in her face! She says we can do this Sam we can survive this hell! I smile and say we are going to do our best! I hand her her own gun and pull out the sword it has perfect craftsmanship hand made by an iron smith! I put the sword over my shoulder in it's case! I tell Hailey I'll keep first watch tonight. I put Oakley in her bed an she says I love you bub I smile and say love you too! I walk on the porch with the lantern! I keep watch for half the night then Hailey appears saying that I can rest she will take over for the rest of the night! I walk in the house and lay in my bed I had forgot how comfy my old bed was, the hand carved head board and and bed post, the gun shot in the wood from when I had discovered the weapon stash lol Dad was so mad that day! I pass out! I wake up to a gun shot it's early morning I run down the stares and out the House and see a woman on the grown! And a man walking toward us he has that same cold stare I tell Hailey I got this one I pull my sword out and slice through his head. He falls to the grown. I turn to see the woman getting up Hailey puts a bullet in her head! We look at each other realizing that we have to hit them in the brain! We walk back to the house and find Oakley standing at the door! I tell her to get back inside she runs for the couch.
