Chapter 11 "The group merge"

The others run outside, while nick shuffles with his crutches toward us. The car pulls in and the driver's door opens. A girl I know gets out the driver's seat. I drop my flash light and run to her. Hailey says "oh my gawd!" Nick says "Kattlen Quinn," with a smile. She looks at his bandaged knee and sees his leg and says oh my gawd, what happend. She runs and hugs him. He smiles and says well then I missed you too. He says "I was bit so Sam had to cut off my leg, he saved my life." She looks at us and says genius, y'all stopped the virus from spreading. Two others get out the car, I look at Kattlen in disbelief, I ask her how did y'all get here she says we saw the signs. Her face is full of relief she has a machette strapped to her leg and a glock straped to her waste. She's looks just like before the shit went down, tall with jet black hair. The others look like they have been on the road awhile. She smiles and says, damn I never thought I would see y'all alive in this world. She looks to her left and says that's Gerry. He looks about fifteen, he's short and has short blond hair. She points to her right and says this is Ema his older sister. She looks about eighteen and has the same blond hair but it's in a ponytail to one side. I ask her if anyone of them has been bit. She replies "no." Izzy smiles and shakes Kattlens hand and says nice to meet you I'm Izzy and this is my little brother John, he clings to Izzy's leg. Kattlen smiles and says nice to meet you too. We are totally soaked, we check the lock on the gate and it's secure. Nick says well hell "let's get in the hospital and dry off! Katt looks at the two story building in relief. I smile and say welcome home y'all. Izzy grabs some canned food and water, then hands them each a can of food and a jug of water. We dry off our clothes and show them their rooms. Katt walks up to me and gives me a hug. She smiles and says how did y'all get this place. I smile and say "we'll talk tomorrow, goodnight."
