I wake up to a jab in my side. I open my eyes and see Nick with his crutches. He says get up you have to see this. I get on my feet and see the sun shinning. I press my hand on the window and and I'm overcome with the warmth of the sun. I look down and see Katt and the others throwing balls of snow. We had hardly any snow ever in New Orleans. Gawd I miss that city with it's smell of fresh bagettes on the corner of a bakery. I look back at Nick and say dude what are we waiting for I run down emergancy stair case and open the front doors the suns warmth embraces me. I run to the others! I'm attacked with snow and in that moment I forget the death suronding this place. I smile and laugh! So much has happen to us and yet we still get the chance to live. We are covered in snow, I shake it out of my hair Katt laughs. I look back and see Nick smiling we are all breathing in this new apocalyptic world. I walk over to the fence, my hands clinch the cold metal, a hand raises out of the snow. They lay in the snow like they're broken. I turn around knowing this won't last forever. They're gunna be back, to cold blood killers in a few weeks.
