"I can't believe you guys don't even see it," Jughead complained as Toni and I sat at the table while Sweet Pea played Mortal Kombat "Weatherbee is profiling us. Tellin' us what to wear. What's next? Brain implants controlling what we think?"

"God! Please stop him, Toni," I said getting up to get a better view of the game "He sounds like nutjob"

"Jughead, you sound like a crazy conspiracy nut," Toni said "A school closed down"

"A crappy school" Sweet Pea added

"Yeah, and now we're at a better one," Toni said "the computer lab and textbooks"

"And toilets that flush" Pea added again making me grimace

"Getting transferred to Riverdale High is the best thing that could have happened," Toni said

"Maybe ever" Sweet Pea added for the third time but this time I flicked him in the head "After you", he continued giving me a quick kiss before going back to the game

"So, if I have to take off my jacket, 8:30 to 3:00, Monday through Friday," Toni said ignoring Sweets and me "Hey I'm down with that"

"You imagining that's Mantle?" I asked still focusing on the arcade game

"Don't know what you're talking about" Sweets said

As Sweet Pea and I walked into class, I was stopped by our teacher calling my name. Well my old name, the one I've long forgotten. And I knew why she called me. I was wearing a leather jacket just a plain one with flowers printed on the collar.

"Blair Crystal" She called out not at all caring about how tense the Southside students got "Remove that jacket at once"

"Why?" I asked faking innocence and confusion as I walked to my seat next to Sweet Pea "It's just a jacket"

"Principle Weatherbee has banned any and all gang paraphernalia," She said "So I'll ask once more remove that jacket or you'll be suspended, Miss Crystal"

I sighed and while rolling my eyes I did as she demand. Putting the jacket in my bag and putting on Sweet Pea's spare black and yellow flannel that I asked him to bring. After that was over, she began the lesson as Sweet Pea placed his arm around me and other Serpents around us whispered every so often about how she was a bitch.

The name itself wasn't bad it just held memories that were difficult to look back on. My dad had convinced my mom to call me Blair even though she wanted me to be named BabyDoll. So after she died and he left, I stopped going by Blair and only going by BabyDoll. Before Southside High shut down everyone knew never to call me by Blair cause the last time someone did it wasn't pretty.

"I'm impressed," Toni said after telling I finished my story from this morning "You didn't become full boa constrictor on her"

"It's the school, Toni," I said dramatically as Fangs, Toni and Sweets laughed before we all got serious when Jughead walked in "He didn't"

"Oh, hey, guys, what's up?" Jughead asked as if he wasn't wearing his Serpent jacket

"Take it off," Mantle said getting up followed by his buddies and us "Take off that jacket, Rat Boy."

Jughead sighed, "Oh, Reggie. I don't think you know what this jacket means." he said "Because you have no sense of honor. Or history, Or loyalty"

"That's it," Reggie says grabbing Jughead leading to his jock buddies to get involved which lead to both Fangs and Sweet Pea jumping in

As the fighting went on, no one noticed but me that Veronica had gone to get Weatherbee but jumping into to this fight was a dumb move so Toni and I let them go at it. When they finally got the six boys to separate we were taken to the office. Toni and I included.

"You all have a week's detention for fighting." Principle Weatherbee said before turning to Jughead "But I made myself clear to you, Mr. Jones. Take off that jacket, right now, or you're suspended"

"Please, Jughead, just-" Veronica's pleas were cut short by Jughead saying "Then I guess I'm suspended" and walking out

"You getting dressed or not?" Sweet Pea asked as he fixed the collar of his turtleneck

"Not," I said putting our plates in the sink "I'm not going at all if I have to dress like that"

The outfits were bland, and that's coming from someone who wears mostly black and leather. The uniform was a pair of khaki pants with a navy colored shirt. While Fangs had gotten suspended, I just didn't go to school at all.

"I heard Jughead has this idea for the Serpents," Sweet Pea said "Even got Fangs to come back to school"

"I'm going back to school at some point, Sweets but I have practice today at the Serpent's den," I told him

The Serpent's den was a medium sized dance studio near Greendale where we teach the Serpent dance and other dances. My foster mom pays me to help out with any dance that isn't the Serpent dance.
