"What do you mean he texted you?" Sweet Pea asked during class

"He wants me to meet him so we could talk" I sighed leaning against him

"Are you going?" He asked

"I don't know, Pea" I answered playing with the dog tags around Sweet Pea's neck "I'd probably just talk to him at Pop's during FP's shift"

"So let me get this straight Cheryl's mom isn't letting her perform? Why, she'd make a perfect Carrie"

"I don't know and she really wanted to play her" Fangs sighed as we played pool "But...about your dad. What're you planning on doing?"

"Well I was texting him for a bit and found out he's got a new family so I'll probably talk to them before deciding what to do next"

"I still don't like the idea of you talking to him" Sweet Pea argued as he finished his turn

"Believe me, I'm not ready to talk to him either but for fuck sakes, I've got questions that he needs to answer"

"Are you Blair Crystal?" A woman asked as I browsed the books at the library "I'm Cindy Hill, Andy's fiancee"

Cindy Hill, my dad's new soon-to-be wife. My dad wanted to meet with me again but I still wasn't sure about talking with him. So he gave me her number as a way to reassure me of any hesitation. We talked on the phone for a bit until I decided I need to actually see her in person.

"Hey, please call me babydoll" I replied as we sat down at an empty table "I know this might be really weird for you but--"

"No, don't worry" Ms. Hill reassured "From what you've told me it's understandable to what to know why he'll want to talk to you again. Is there any specific questions you have?"

"When we're talking you seemed...surprised to hear about me. He never mentioned he had a daughter?"

"Honestly, no" She answered "After I spoke to you the first time he explained that your mother passed and he...left you. I am so sorry he left you at such a young age"

"Why does he wanna talk now?" I asked as Sweet Pea walked in "What're you doing here?"

"Just making sure you're safe, babe" He assured sitting down beside me

Sighing, "This is my boyfriend, Sweet Pea. Sweets, this is Cindy Hill, my dad's fiancee"

"It's nice to meet you" Ms. Hill responded shocking Sweet Pea as he nodded deciding to play with my hair, "Your father said he saw you during the student council and asked the school for your phone number. He's still your father so they gave him your number"

"That doesn't explain why he wants to see her after years"

"Andy saw you wearing a Serpent jacket and saw you with your boyfriend. I guess he's not happy about seeing you as a Serpent"

"So what now?" Sweet Pea asked as I paced in our room "You going to see him?"

"He left me and he wants to be in my fucking life because I'm a Serpent! He thinks he has a fucking say in my life after leaving me!" I yelled as Sweet Pea held me "I lost my mom and he...left me. I was only six fucking years old"

"I know, baby, I know," He said trying to soothe me "You don't have to see him. You can just ignore him and never worry about him again"

"I can't do that" I argued "I want...need to know why he left me. Why he moved back to the Northside, started a new life, and left his firstborn alone to fend for herself"

"Princess--"

"It's stupid, I'm being stupid. I know, but he was all I had growing up and he just left me"

Sweet Pea didn't say anything choosing to just hold me. He held me until I fell asleep before laying us both in bed.

Sometime later, at around 3 am, I was woken up by a text. It was from none other than Andy Crystal, my deadbeat dad, himself.

Deadbeat:
I know what happened to your mother
                                                      Just Now

He was lying. He had to be, right?

"Baby, come on" Sweet Pea whined as I was curled up in bed. Today was when Northside High was going to show Carrie: The Musical "Get out of your blanket burrito and get dressed"

"Tell Fangs and Toni I said break a leg"

"...Alright fine, call me if you need me" He sighed closing the door behind him

I stayed in place for awhile listening as he drove off. Quickly, I got up fully dressed. I was gonna do something stupid. But he says he knew about my mom. She was taken from me and he says that he knows what happened.

Pixie:
Are you sure you wanna go?

Then text me every 30 mins
If I don't hear from you I'm telling Sweet Pea
