<Now Playing: Drive by Halsey>
Her hands trembled gently. Anger pulsed through her weak body. The sound of leaves crunched beneath her feet. With a puff of her chest, she continued forward. She didn't care about her destination, she just wanted to escape the dangers behind her.

Professor Charles Xavier felt a smile appear on his face. "Remember the key terms for next lesson. Class dismissed." The horde of students exited the classroom, holding their notes and books, leaving behind goodbyes and waves towards their beloved teacher. The professor spun in his wheelchair, exiting the classroom. As he explored the halls of his very institution, he couldn't help but feel proud of each of his students' accomplishments.
Yet, something deep inside his head bothered him. A hunch, a feeling, was haunting him. With all the newcomers, how many more could be out there? How many more mutants could he save? Did they all need saving? Charles exhaled quietly as he entered his classic-looking office. He felt a headache forming, all the questions were plaguing his thoughts. It wasn't like him to be doubtful. All this doubt was reminding him of the coward he saw himself to be. He wasn't a coward, right?
Charles Xavier ran a hand through his long, brunette locks. He buried his forehead in his hands, sighing away all his stress. "Charles?" He heard Alex's voice come from behind. He sat up and spun around to face the blond mutant. "Hey, you good?" He questioned kindly, cocking his eyebrow with concern.
A small grin replaced Xavier's frown. "Alex, how lovely for you to stop by. I want to go 'downstairs' to think. Just some time to my mind, that's all." Charles explained as he began to maneuver his way out of his office and down towards Cerebro. Alex crossed his jacketed arms, it wasn't worth questioning the Professor and his worries. He was probably jumpy again because of last night. Charles knew that Alex was right. He was jumpy. Ever since Jean had enrolled in his school, her nightly episodes have caused a shadow of doubt to interrupt his everyday thoughts and routine.
He entered the exiled room, traveling forward in his chair, reaching the center of the bridge. His pale hands grabbed Cerebro's helmet, and without hesitation, Charles slipped it on. The room went dark and in a few seconds the room exploded with red. His wise eyes shut for a split second before he opened them once again. Xavier searched through people peacefully, somewhat happy to see everything okay. He wish he could see the woman he missed, Moira. His peaceful surfing was interrupted as he felt a spike of terror grab his attention. It was a mutant. The professor furrowed his eyebrows.
The girl was a teenager, she was lit up under Cerebro's spotlight. Charles felt the fear inside her as he went through her head. She was running, not only from home, but from something else. Maybe this will put his doubts to sleep, maybe if he helped one more soul, he could find peace. He jolted slightly as he felt the girl's emotions continue to spike rapidly. She was running even faster.
