Chapter 5-

I've been in various places with Axel these past few months, but recently he's settled down in a fairly large manor in Ireland. There's more in the world than shifters, and I've learned that that hard way when five sparkling, little people with wings were floating around the manor making mischief.

Large, ugly things roamed around too and they're called Ogres? They clean up after the 'fairies' I guess because supposedly Ogres look mean and nasty but they're actually really nice and clean, unlike the evil fairies. I've also learned, do NOT trust those damned fairies or our rivals, the vampires..

"AXEL!!!!" I screamed, running through the corridor. There were fairies flying after me with poisoned flowers. I ran toward Axel's study and he stepped out into the hall, sending me crashing into his chest.

"You know better," Axel growled. "If I catch you tourchering her again, you are all not welcome here anymore," his tone was final. "Caspian! Control your things!" he called out to his friend King Caspian of the WoodFaries. There was a loud whistle and the fairies disappeared.

"Thank you." I smiled at Axel. I rarely even talk to him anymore because I'm stuck here.

"No problem." he grinned and lent down to kiss me. I growled and ripped out of his grasp.

"YOU, know better." I glared before leaving to my room. Late at night, my great friend Martin has been sneaking in, no we do not do anything bad, we just talk about home. Tonight is a night Leo shouldn't have came.

"Beth, what do you think about-" Axel walk in and stopped dead in his tracks. He looked between Leo and I."Beth?"

"It's nothing Axel, we're only talking." I admitted.

"I... don't know what to do about this," his face dropped and darkened. "Martin, out. Beth, bed." he snapped. Leo shot up and breezed out of the room, leaving Axel to look at me in disappointment.

"I'm sorry." I said and he came and sat on the edge of my bed.

"I know, and I'm sorry for what I'm about to do," he looked at me sadly and I was confused.

He pushed me back onto the bed and climbed over me, holding my arms down. I screamed but I knew no one would come. "Sorry Love." that's when he bit me. Searing pain paraded my body but then it turned into the most pleasant feeling. He's claimed me.

"Axel." I breathed as he pulled away sadly.

"You're mine. Now no one else can have you," he said standing up. I couldn't move, all I could do was look at him. "There's so much you don't know.."

"Why?" I asked but he was already gone. I didn't even have time to get mad, my mind was too overwhelmed with pleasure.

The next day I was fuming at Axel's decision. I was done with his drama, so today I'd run away with Martin. I'd grabbed quite a bit of coins during the day and just before dusk I snuck out and jumped on Jenny, grabbing Martin.

My wolf begged me to stay, she whined that there was indeed something I don't know. I shoved any thoughts that didn't include escaping away and in just a few hours Martin and I arrived at a small cottage in the woods.

"Here we are," he smiled and helped me off Jenny. We entered the cottage and Martin immediately started a fire in the hearth, tonight was surprisingly cold so we huddled close to the fire. "I hope you enjoy it here Beth" Martin smiled.

"I think I will since I'm with you." I grinned.

Honestly I didn't want to claim her when it wasn't by choice, but I had to. I couldn't let her be with another man, it's not right. "Axel." Genevieve came running up to me, shoes clicking on the floor and face panicked.

"Genevieve, what's wrong?" I ask, a bit worried.

"Bethany. She left about an hour ago with Martin," she paused, staring off behind me for a second. "Claiming her didn't mean anything to either of them." she said.

"She isn't." I started to panic too.

"She is and you have to stop it. Martin isn't what he seems."

"Where is she? What is he?" I asked her.

"He's a vampire Axel! What more will it mean to the Vampires if they capture and breed the new princess soon-to-be queen?" she explained.

"It'll mean everything," I stood. "WHERE IS SHE!?" I roar.

"In the woods, inside a cottage," Genevieve said. "Eric and his friends are waiting outside to help." she replied. I rushed outside to where about half a cavalry was waiting.

"Good job Eric." I sighed as a servant brought a horse up.

"Anything for my sister." Eric said as I mounted my horse.

Within minutes we were off, scouting the woods, but it got dark soon so we set up camp. I couldn't just sit there and apparently Eric couldn't either so Eric and I plus three of his friends continued to scout out. My wolf reached out toward her and luckily she wasn't blocking me out, her wolf was screaming for mine. They were near.

"Eric," I paused and reached out again. "Just over the ridge."

Our horses hooves sounded like thunder as we ran toward a nearby cottage.

I knew she was in there and her wolf was very angry with her. As we neared, my horsed reered up and bucked

me off but I dove off and ran to the door. Eric and I broke the thick door down to find Beth and Martin rolling around on the large down bed. He was about to bed her! My wolf roared inside me but I pushed him back.

"BETHANY!" Eric growled and they didn't stop. My wolf has had enough. I shifted and that's when Leo moved to bite her. If he bit her, she was vampire property and she'd no longer be able to come back to the wolves.

"Don't get any closer Mr.Monroe, or she's mine." Martin growled and Bethany laid there motionless. She didn't know.

'Stay calm Beth.' I said in our mind link and kept my eyes on Martin.

"Martin, let her go." Eric snapped.

"No. Do you know how much power the vampires will get if I take the werewolf princess and soon to be queen?" Martin growled, tightening his grip on Bethany. Tears sprung up in her eyes. It finally clicked and he was hurting her!

"A lot?" Eric replied.

"More than a lot. Rule over all." Martin said and Bethany hiccupped, tears appearing in her eyes.

"Why are you doing this Martin? I thought we were bestfriends?" Bethany said softly.

"It was a game you stupid lass." Martin spat.

"I see," Bethany sighed. "Then I'll have no problem killing you hm?"

"You can't. You're weak." Martin said.

"Am I?" Bethany taunted.

"Stop Bethany." Eric warned. Bethany simply smirked and shoved Martin off her with all her might.

He flew across the room and there was no hesitation in my wolf to take him out. I tore him to shreds, still fuming. Bethany's arms wrapped around my furry neck and I started to calm down. Eric smiled, replaced the door, and left us alone.

I shifted again and Bethany kept holding me. I pulled her into my lap and her dress covered the area we were in. "I'm glad you're safe." I kissed her cheek.

"Me too. I'm glad you came." she smiled.

"Like I said, you're mine darling." I smiled back, wondering why she left in the first place.

"I left because I didn't want to really give you a chance, but now I think I should." she kissed me softly.

"Well thank you madam, shall we go home?" I asked her smiling still.

"We shall." she kissed me again and stood up. Maybe things will work out.
