"Y/N, wake the fuck up!"

"Huh?" I asked sleepily.

I opened my eyes and found myself in Mello and Matt's apartment. Mello was pacing up and down, his yells had woken me up. Matt was playing a computer game, as usual.

How did I get here though? I'd just been in a truck...

I guess I'd dreamt it? It had seemed so real, but Mello wasn't dead, he was standing right in front of me, glaring at me. (He'd stopped his pacing)

"I'm trying to tell you the plan, it's kind of important. This isn't the time to fall asleep, bitch. Now listen!"

He outlined his plan and it was very familiar. I felt chills down my spine because I'd just dreamt this. I wondered if my unconscious self had heard his words and dreamt about it.

"Did you already say this? "I interrupted him.

"What? I'm trying to say it but first you fell asleep and now you're being rude and talking over me."

"Ok but did you say all of this while I was asleep?" I asked again.

"No! Why would I tell you the plan when you were asleep? Please Y/N, you have a brain, use it."

"I don't know about that," I sighed. "Mello, you can't do this. It's going to go wrong."

He placed his hands on his hips and scowled, he was such a diva and I had to stop myself from smiling. He was so amazing.

"Excuse me?" He demanded. "Are you actually doubting my plan? Who is in charge here? I don't pay you to doubt me, I pay you to do what you're told."

"You don't pay me at all, I'm helping you out here," I corrected him.

"You're not helping me by falling asleep and then questioning me."

Matt finally looked up from his game.

"For the love of god, would you two stop bickering and just get on with it?"

"With what?" I smirked, and Matt snorted then went back to his game. Mello didn't get my joke of course, being a boring serious-head.

"So I just dreamt that all of this happened but you got killed," I explained.

Mello was actually speechless for once.

"That's what you're basing your advice on?" He asked when he found his voice again. "You think I'm going to change my plan because of a dream?"

"But it seemed so real..." He was right though, it sounded so lame now.

"Women's intuition, is it?" He asked sarcastically.

"Well, you'd know about that," I muttered.

Luckily he didn't hear me, so he didn't kill me.

"It's all arranged anyway. All you have to do is watch the monitors from the spare room. Once Matt has done his job, you let me know so I can do mine."

"Right."

"And don't fall asleep!" He snapped. "Come on, Matt, it's time to go."

"Wait, just let me finish this game."

"I said NOW!" Mello shouted.

Matt literally jumped, then put his game down and stood up to follow Mello.

"Good luck," I called after them.

I still had a bad feeling since my "dream." I assumed at this stage that it was just a dream anyway.

I went to do as I'd been told but I was soon back at the church. After watching Matt die, I'd ran there to get to Mello. I was too late, again. This time the church was already on fire when I got there, with the truck inside. I stood with my hands on my head, screaming his name over and over.

"I love you, Mello! I loved... you. Don't leave me again, pleeeeease!"

A car drove up and some police tried to calm me down. I ended up sobbing in one of their arms. They took me back in their car and I quickly worked out that one of them was Light Yagami. Unless there was another Light on the police force, but it was an usual name so I doubted it.

"So you're Light Imagay?" I asked.

"No, I'm Light Yagami."

He seemed confused but said no more. I was already plotting my revenge. Mello died because of him, I had to make him pay. Except I started crying again just at the thought of him being gone. I was a mess, I wasn't going to be able to do shit, never mind outsmart Kira. I just wanted to die so I could join Mello...
