"How come you never hooked up with any of the mafia guys? You're the only girl who didn't," Mello asked me.
"I'm not like the other mafia girls. I'm not pretty."
"What?! You're stunning, I'd die to date you. I mean, um..." He turned away, blushing.
I walked over to be closer to him.
"I'd like that."
I kissed him on the lips and then we hugged forever. I was going to miss him. At least I knew he wouldn't remember me, so he wouldn't be sad. I didn't know if Nothingness meant I'd no longer feel, or even exist, though I knew he'd always be a part of me. I had to do this, I had to save him.
I just had to figure out how exactly.
