A/n Double update yeet. Can you believe I just wrote this since the last time I updated? That shiz be wild!!! So this is more of a filler chapter because I really wanted to mend Jake and Simons bridge. They'll need to have a serious talk about everything soon though, but we needed some fluff after having been through tragedy, am I right?

Those pics are so Simon and Jake idk. I love 😭😭😍

So yeet. Also, should I actually post a chapter from the rewritten version?? It's pretty different than what you're used to but also the same??? Jake is definitely more...um...dominant and gangster?? Simon is more babyish and innocent. It's cute as FUCK, idk???

Simon's POV
-
"Do you have any sixes?" Two sparkling blue eyes peek at me over the top of his playing cards.

I look down at my hand, spotting a six of diamonds amongst them. I look back up and hold eye contact. "Go fish."

Jakob laughs. "I'm calling your bluff."

I throw my hands up exasperatedly, but regret it right after as a shooting pain goes through my stomach. "How do you always know when I'm lying!"

He chuckles, teeth biting his bottom lip sexily. "I have my ways. Just know you can't ever lie to me."

I glance away, feeling guilty as his words remind me of how I lied to him about cheating. It was stupid, and I should've been honest from the start. "I would never want to lie to you, Jake."

Blue eyes softening like butter, he abandons his cards and shadows me with his body. "I know that was the truth."

Our faces are only separated by an inch of air. I can see the speckles of gold in his gorgeous blue eyes and the tiny, rare freckles that dot across his nose. He smells like mint and the breeze going through a green forest on a rainy day. I shudder as his fingertips play at my hip.

"I want to kiss you."

My lungs can't help but intake shallow breaths of air. It's a combination of being totally awestruck by him, and his intoxicating scent.

Love drunk, I think they call it.

All of our recent endeavors flash through my mind; the hike, my first blowjob given, my first blowjob received, how he took care of me when mommy and daddy were fighting, how I lost myself when I lost him.

"Nothing is stopping you..."

He chuckles, and lets his lips only feather across the top of mine. "Except that I won't be able to stop myself."

He lifts his head and gently rubs my cheek with his thumb. He looks fond of me, watching me through his eyelashes with a small smile.

"I know this will sound really...cheesy, but I...I don't think I could ever love anyone else but you."

He looks away.

"Couldn't love anyone...like I love you."

I gasp sharply, feeling my heartstrings tug in response to his confession. The strong emotion makes stupid tears try to pool in my eyes, but I swallow them away.

He doesn't make eye contact, smiling amusedly at himself while his wandering eyes find relief out the window.

I brush my fingertips over his jaw. I admire his beauty. His existence. "You won't have to. Promise. I promise, Jakob."

He looks back down at me, and I can feel his overwhelming love hit me in heavy, ship-tossing waves. Even though it hurts, I sit up and grab him by the back of his neck to connect our lips.

He growls, lips gently following me as I lay back down into a position that doesn't hurt while my hand stays at the back of his neck.

I won't let him escape so easily.
