Sadie was extremely happy and proud of herself and Milo, for they had just hunted the biggest game they've ever seen. Something felt very familiar about the situation, but she shrugged it off.
"Hey, Milo," She started to say before nearly dropping the elk she was carrying. "D'you think moving into that cave was the best option?" They were about a hundred yards away from the entrance, and by extension, their camp, making the trek feel even longer than it was.
"Not sure. It was the closest thing to a decent sized shelter for all of us, so that's good, at least," he replied. He looked at the nearby trees, which had been frozen by the blue snow that began falling during the fight with Xeno a few days ago. Since then, there had only been small flurries here and there, and Ender lost his dragon form and dragon magic after being caught in one of them while searching for supplies. "I do know one thing for sure, it's freezing out here!" Both of them were shivering with each step, inching closer to the camp as they trudged through the shin-high snow. A dragon flew overhead, soaring towards a large icy pillar in the distance, which was in the same direction of the temporary camp. A little while later, they reached a point where they could walk at a more normal pace.
"You ever wonder where that spire came from?" Sadie inquired after about seven minutes of walking at her usual pace, the cave now clearly visible. She expected him to correct her, but that response never came. After about five more minutes, they reached the entrance, where Ender and Johann were waiting for them in their cat forms, ready to help them. Ender began to lift the elk from Sadie's shoulders and Johann did the same for Milo with the deer he was carrying. Stella was nowhere to be seen, as she was still trying to recover from her heat sickness caused by the roaring fire at the center of the camp with Liliona at her side in the makeshift tent, while Taylor was checking the ceiling for cracks. When she was finished, she landed lightly next to Sadie, who was still catching her breath, not from carrying the elk, but from the difference in air pressure.
After about a minute, Taylor told her, "There's no signs of cracking or any damage in the roof, so that's good. Arthur's still gone, God knows where he went, but nobody's heard from him, not even his parents. I just hope he comes back before something happens." It was at that moment Sadie realized that she had seen and experienced everything before; nearly a week ago, she had a vision that played out the events almost exactly as they had up until that point. Taylor noticed her facial expression change into one of surprise, then asked, "Is everything alright?" Sadie jumped when she heard her.
"Huh? Oh, y-yeah, everything's fine!" she replied, still shivering from the cold, which conveniently almost completely disguised her fear. However, she hadn't noticed that Taylor placed a small white fireball over her head, which was flickering as if it was about to burn itself out, revealing her true emotions. Before she could say anything, Starmourn, glowing a bright shade of blue, nuzzled against Taylor's leg to signal Luna's arrival from deeper within the cavern. "We should go check on Luna. She's been down there since yesterday morning," Sadie hurriedly said, desperate to change the subject. Shortly afterwards, they started to walk towards the entrance of the inner cavern.
Taylor sighed in disappointment. "You know, I'll find out what you're hiding eventually, even if it's something small like a vision or any dragon sightings," she told her, taking notice that at the word 'vision', Sadie froze, the fire over her hair seemingly down to it's last magical embers. "So is that it? You had a vision of today?" she asked, sounding unusually pleased with herself. They stopped at the mouth of the inner cave, where Luna would soon be coming out of, before Starmourn ran back inside and paced herself with Luna as she trudged out towards them, covered in cuts, bruises, and her clothes, a black leather jacket with matching pants and a gray t-shirt with a cat on it, in ruins.
