The Rest of Yesterday

The house was now full of people who began to casually talk after everything had settled. Before long, Luna, Liliana, and Clair decided it was about time everyone got their rest for the plan of attack. "Okay, who's sleeping where? We only have 3 rooms and the couches, so if you want to be comfortable, I suggest picking somewhere that's not cramped," Clair called out, grabbing Liana and her sister shortly before going to her own room. Everyone else was left with who to pick as their roommates of the night.

Liliona was the first to make her choices. "I choose… Gana, Taylor, and Nocha. That leaves you with one room and the couches." The four then went up the stairs to Luna's room.

With the thought of sleeping on the couches in mind, Johann decided to choose Enzefer, Rika, Arthur, and Milo. Sadie tried her best to look upset that they wouldn't be spending the night together, but to no avail. "Azazel, Ender, Liliana, and Stella, get along. Sadie, if something happens, let us know. I don't want anything happening to this house," he told them. He then started to ask where Enderia, Lucas, and Lucile had gone, stopping himself when he remembered that they had went home for the night. I feel like that was a terrible idea. It'll probably go over well. Hopefully.

As the five went to the guest room, Stella began to quietly growl in frustration. Getting closer to the door, her growl grew, now audible to everyone around her. "I know you're upset, Stella, but we have to relax before we break something. We can't really do anything here," Ender told her in an attempt of consolation. Her tail swept the carpet a few times before she decided to stop. Moments later, as the door was opened, it was revealed that there were two separate beds on opposite ends.

Before anyone else moved, Azazel dragged Ender and Stella to the closest bed. "We're sleeping here. They can have the other bed," he told them. Before long, Liliana began to whine to Sadie.

"You don't have a problem sleeping alone, do you? I wanna sleep over there too, I've never seen a ferret spirit before," she said, hoping she'd give in. When she saw that Sadie shook her head, she gave up. Sadie  began to change into her pajamas, with Stella raising a wing to block their view, and  slipped under the sheets as Frosty did the same. Stella peeked to see if she finished and immediately began to blush wildly, to the point that Ender noticed. As her wing lowered, she saw that both of them had began to fall asleep, and turning around, she noticed Azazel had gone to his true natural form, along with Ender. As she closed her eyes, a dim glow began to shine near her.

"Azazel, what part of me not breaking it off for you do you not get?" Ender whisper shouted, tails bristling. He watched as Azazel turned into a cat of similar size before getting an answer.

"I just want you to come back. I get it, I've been gone for the past five years, but I still love you," he whispered back, the rings on him now glowing a dull green. "I'll stop asking now before your lady friend decides to kill me, I'm sure it's been on her mind since we first saw each other again," he added, noticing an eye watching them on the other side of the bedframe. It was then that Ender jumped into the wall and back onto the bed, leaving Azazel alone to think. When he rejoined them, both had fallen asleep, with Stella holding Ender's face away from her chest. I guess I should just let it go. It won't help tearing them apart for my own benefit. With his final thoughts on it, he too rested his eyes and mind.

…That's weird, I'm usually just thrown into a random thought for a dream. I guess I can choose this time? Was I too harsh on Lucile? As he finished the thought, he felt himself being rushed back to the front door.

"Did you come here to check on Luna? To see what your bomb did to her?" he heard himself ask, watching her face change from moderately scared to absolutely terrified.

"I came because I was worried, Ender. I'm sorry to have caused the trouble," came her whispered reply. A second passed before a cat jumped at her.

"You expect me to just believe you didn't curse her on purpose? Even if it was years ago, you still did it, and she could've died!" Another cat jumped out at her, this time almost catching her hair.

She began backing away, trying to explain. "I know that, but -".

"But what? You didn't know what you were doing? You can't just know some advanced spell like that and not know what the hell you're doing with it, Lucile!" Two more cats, this time they sat at her heels. The other two joined them shortly after, hissing loudly. "If you truly want me to believe…". His voice began to fade out, signaling that the memory was over.

Back to darkness, I guess. Jeez…
