"We made it back without being followed by any crystalites that survived the blast," Enderia reported to the group, unaware that Lucile had arrived. When she noticed everyone staring behind her, she turned around and also saw a shadowy figure about as tall as Johann and Ender in the distance. When she blinked, the figure had moved closer to her and was now the size of an average cat. By then, Ender, Johann and Taylor felt the energy being given off and came up to the other side of the door, each of them in their cat forms.
"It can't be him, can it?" Ender asked. He had mixed feelings about meeting his father outside of their normal context.
"It's that energy again," Liliana whispered. Everyone at the table looked at her in surprise while Lucile stared at her from the doorway before grabbing Luna and bringing her inside. Enzefer immediately began trying to use the rest of his healing magic on her, but it had no effect.
After noticing that Ender was halfway out the door, he asked, "You seeing Dad for the first time?" His former other half swept his right tail as a response before he was fully out the door. The trio began walking towards the source of the strange energy before realizing it was bouncing all over. After a few minutes, the shadow stopped in front of them before uncloaking itself, revealing another black cat around the same size that Ender used to be.
"I missed you guys!" he told the trio, sounding extremely happy. They all went into their human forms and each gave him a tight hug. "I see you're your own person now, Ender," he purred. He turned to Johann and Taylor. "You two are doing well, right?" They nodded. "Good to hear!"
Ender was the first to ask a question. "Dad, how did you find us?" Just before he answered, Enderia came around the corner.
"Oh hey, Tenosha! It's been awhile, hasn't it?" she said upon seeing him. "I was just coming to get them, Luna's waking up."
"What happened to her?" Tenosha asked.
Knowing he understood anime references, she went with, "A Megumin, or Killer Queen, whichever you think is worse."
They went inside, only to be greeted by Lucile, alone in the living room. She wanted to say something to them, but couldn't.
"You came to check on Luna? To see what your bomb did to her?"
