Breathe, just breathe....I told myself that over and over again, but my body still felt like it was hyperventilating while I tried to pry free of Jake's grip. How was he so strong?

The adults were all yelling at each other, but I couldn't focus on what they were saying. I felt my muscles twitch and my eyes burned as I let out a strained yell. It was like my mind wasnt my own, and I was on prime animal instinct when I let out a roar and successfully tore myself away from my brother and made a B-line to Leon.

It was like me breaking free caused everything to speed up and Carla whipped around to face me and shot at me with what had been her concealed pistol. My side burned and I knew her bullet had found a home within my flesh, but I still lunged towards her and wrapped my hands around her throat. Leon was yelling at me and Chris and Sebastian were engaging each other. Claire came up behind Sebastian to hit him with the butt of her gun, but he dodged it and did a back kick that sent her flying. Jill was aiming, trying to get a good vantage point where she wouldn't kill her long term boyfriend. Leon grasps my shoulder and yanks me away from Carla.

I take another swing at her and get passed off to Alice, who pushes me against the wall with both her hands on either of my shoulders, and her knee pressed against the wall between my legs, effectively holding me there like I was in her embrace. I see her shudder against me.

"Your eyes are glowing...like Weskers...," she says breathily. Leon has taken Carla's gun from her and handcuffed her hands behind her back, and frisks her for more weapons. Over Alice's shoulder I see Claire get head butted by Sebastian, and Chris gets a heavy punch to his sternum. Jill finally gets off a shot and it hits him in the calf, making Sebastian howl in pain and fall to one knee. Ada was loitering against the wall with her arms crossed over her chest, just watching the fight with Jake beside her looking like he might vomit.

My muscles still twitched and my mind begged me to incapacitate someone. My mouth felt like it had salvitated like a dog with rabies, and my hands itched to punch something. My energy and adrenaline didnt statt to wear off until Sebastian started to chuckle. I felt the tension begin to leave my body and I grew very tired.

"Agent Kennedy," Sebastian drawls between chuckles. "Isnt it a bit funny that you're only useful for rescuing people?  You've had nothing to do with the virus' yet you expect you can control the one that's taken residence in your precious ward."

"What are you talking about?" Leon growls while walking over and unseating his large knife.

"Surely you always have known the Wesker girl was somewhat like her father. You had to have known her mother was infected as well, before she died. I've been giving her boosters to let her virus evolve."

Alice and I connect eyes a moment and her grip tightens on me briefly, before she backs up, freeing me, but her hand slips into my own. "I think shes doing pretty good on her own," Alice speaks up. "I can teach her to use it to her advantage to keep scum like you at bay."

Sebastian laughs out right this time. "A lot has changed since you've become human again, woman. We shall see." My ex boyfriend turns his look back at Leon and smirks. "I had of course planned on killing you myself, but I think letting nature take its course, influenced by myself, will be just as satisfying."

"Shut up," Leon growls. "Tell me why you did all this!"

"I just did! I needed to fulfill my father's legacy and kill you, Agent Kennedy. But it seems here the odds are not in my favor, so I think I shall leave you with a gift you are very familiar with."
