Author's POV
Millie pulls her baseball cap further down her face, hating a busy street. She holds her Mothers' hand tightly, with Maisie holding Cheryl's other hand. They walk the crowded streets, Kimberley and Charlotte close behind and security tightly around them.
Millie tries not to panic, although she was sure Cheryl could feel her' sweaty palms.
"Did youse want to grab a bite to eat first?" She asks, over the screaming crowds.
Maisie, fascinated with all of this, casually nods with a smile. Whereas Millie keeps her head down to the ground, no wanting to look up. The paparazzi men shout and scream, witnessing Kimberley back in Cheryl's life... but with a different twist.
"In here." Brad, one of the security men, guides them into the first restaurant he could spot.
Millie rushes in, letting her Mam's hand go.
Brad takes control, talking to the manager so the family could have a private location in his space.
They're instantly seated and placed somewhere nobody will bother them. Millie taking the seat right beside her Mam, still, her eyes focused down.
Cheryl wraps an arm around her, already knowing what her daughter was mentally going through. This was a big step for Millie, she really didn't like overly crowded places, it awakened anxiety through her.
Cheryl leans forward and whispers into her daughters ear, "It's okay. I'm not leaving."
"You think they have any good drinks in this place?" Kimberley relaxes back into her seat, sat facing Cheryl and her daughters with Charlotte by her side.
Cheryl, ignores her, far too focused on Millie right now.
Kimberley watches her ex-girlfriend whisper softly into Millie's ear, observing the Teen nod. She looks at Maisie, too engrossed in the menu to care about anything.
