The school year ended, the summer began, the treatment continued, the summer ended, the school year began, the treatment continued.
It's finally senior year, and it's so weird for me. I've been waiting for this for years. The end of school and the beginning of the real world. But I can't help but ask. Is this the end of more? Is it even the beginning of anything anymore?
"Mr Athens." The stern voiced Miss Wesfit said. "Would you please answer the equation on the board?"
"17 over 421." I replied without taking a moment to think.
Miss Wesfit stood in silence for a moment before she began to glare at me. "I will not accept cheaters in my room! Get out!"
Ah, yes, I must be a cheater for answering the question right. "Yes, ma'am." I said as I gathered my stuff and walked out, making my way to the office.
After a brief report explaining what happened, I was told that someone would explain to the math teacher that I didn't actually cheat, and that I was just really good at math. And everything else in school.
What period is it? Where would Henry be right now? Third period, photography for him... He'd kill me for interrupting that. Well, what about Romeo?
I looking into the government room and saw Romeo sitting with his sports friends, trying to make and run their own civilization. As far I could tell, Kanyeria wasn't doing well (I don't want to know who named it). The economy was in ruins according to the panic that they were all going through, the military was just wiped out by Sasha-is-amazing-land, and one of the guys just kept suggesting that they try raiding other civilizations.
"Andrew, we can't just arm our civilians with sword and guns and send them out into other nations!" The goalie of the soccer team snapped. "That's a horrible idea!"
"At least it's an idea at all." The guy (I'm assuming Andrew) replied.
"Ok you two." Romeo began. "Let's calm down and think this through before civil war breaks out."
"Too late. If we don't fix this problem, my militia will wipe out what's left of the government and take over." Andrew stated.
The goalie whipped his head around. "Where did you get a militia!?"
The boy with the red-brown hair shrugged. "I've been taking money out of the federal budget to support then."
"And this is why we have an economic crisis..." Romeo muttered, shaking his head slowly.
At this point, I was inside the room and sitting right next to them, practical a bright blue spot with legs at the moment. Seriously, I've got a neon blue beanie and bow tie combo going and they still haven't noticed me here?
"You guys are idiots." I commented, the hot goalie spinning towards me with a pair of pencils set in a cross.
"What the FUCK?!?"
"Franklin! Watch your mouth before I make you wish you had!" Mr Smith snapped viciously. He saw me sitting there and smiled. "Hello, Julian."
I grinned back to the teacher. "Good morning, Mr Smith. I hope you don't mind me showing up here."
"Of course not, I love having you around." He said before looking back down at his paperwork.
"What the Hell just happened..?" Franklin asked quietly.
Romeo laughed slightly, then smiled at me (Slow down heart rate, this isn't necessary). "Hey there, buddy. What are you doing over here?"
"Just wanted to find something to do. New math teacher kicked me out of the room, so the office is gonna explain a thing or two." I said with a shrug.
"You being too smart for your own good?" He asked with a smirk.
"Yeah."
Andrew smiled at me. "Think you could help me with chemistry?"
"That seems unlikely. He won't even help me with history, and he knows I'm awful." Romeo chuckled.
Franklin looked from Romeo to me, then back. "Are you and him a thing or something?"
"What?! No! No no no, we're just friends, nothing more." I nervously laughed. "Just because I like guys doesn't mean I like him."
"Yeah, and besides, you know I'm a ladies man. I've always got some chick going after me, ya know? Yeah." Romeo added, just as awkwardly as myself.
The goalie watched me for a moment, deep in thought. "Am I attractive to you?"
"Umm..." What the Hell? "Excuse me?"
"I know girls see me as being sexy, but now that you're here, I'm curious." Franklin explained, leaning back in his seat. "Am I hot? I want the expert opinion."
Umm... Ok then.
"Well if you want my expert opinion, you are extremely attractive, but you need pants that aren't so baggy. Also try wearing white shoes and longer sleeves. Hmm... Maybe get the sides of your hair trimmed a bit higher."
After a moment of semi silence, Franklin pulled out a notebook and started writing down everything I had said. "Should the long sleeve shirts be button up or thin stitch?"
"Keep a variety of both." I replied.
"Please don't encourage him too much, or he's going to be more focused on clothes than soccer." Romeo laughed.
"All part of my evil plans to enslave the world."
Sasha stepped over with a small crowd behind her. "So, have you dweebs repaired your army yet?"
"Army?" Franklin asked, looking up from his notes.
Andrew smiled brightly. "I took over the government while you guys were talking about clothes and such. My militia is ready!"
--
"Wow, she really wiped the floor with you guys." I commented. "Your class is truly insane, you know that? What kind of group project turns into a mess up game of Risk?"
"Any project Sasha is in. I think she wiped out every other group in the class." Romeo mumbled.
"Well, we put up a good fight!" Andrew chimed with a smile.
Franklin shook his head. "I'd probably punch you if it wasn't for the fact that you'd break my back like Bane..."
And that is how I started to talk to Romeo's friends. Through a weird civilization game and a small civil war. Oh, and getting kicked out of math.
