Josh kissed me. The merman kissed me.

I slumped back, shocked.

Josh looked at me. I looked at him. The look to him made him seem that what he did was wrong. I just looked at him with no explanation whatsoever.

"Good human...Tyler...don't like what I did." He said.

I didn't answer. I didn't even flinch.
Tears started to come down his cheeks. He swam away.

"Josh?!"

I swam after him. He was so fast, but I was able to track him down to a cove.

I found him, curled up on the rocks while still on the water, crying.

I swam to his side. When I tried touching him, he flinched.

"Josh?"

"Tyler don't love me." He said while weeping.

"Do you really love me?" I asked.

"Mermen and mermaids...aren't allowed...to be in love...with humans. But I don't care...I love you."

"Josh I-"

"Good human do not wish to see me."

Tears started to come down my cheeks.

"I'll prove it to you."

"Tyler...can't prove love...to Josh."

"But Josh, we've only met for 2 days. Why do you say you love me?"

Josh sighed.

"I don't know. But I know...that you don't love me...because I am not human. You don't have to see Josh anymore."

"Josh-"

He disappeared into the water. I looked down into the sea and saw him swim away

I allowed my tears to fall down, landing as droplets in the water.

I swam back to the beach. I felt sad, as if I was never going to see him again. I've broken his heart. He really loves me. And it's obvious that I love him too.

Every time I saw his face in my visions, I was in love. He loves me and he doesn't know why.
When I got back inside, I broke down. I let every bit of emotion out.

Then I realized I was sitting in front of my piano. I wanted to play something that would prove how much in love I am with Josh, the merman. So I played. Then I sang.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of clapping. I turned and saw Madison by the door.

"That was wonderful." She said.

"Thanks." I replied. "I didn't think of it until now."

"I loved it."

She came over and kissed me on the forehead.

"I heard you crying earlier." She said. "Have you been feeling alright?"

I didn't think I should tell her about everything that has happened. But because she's the only sibling in the family I can trust, I thought I could do it.

"Maddy, promise me that you will not tell anyone about this. Not even Zack and Jay or mom and dad."

"Cross my heart." She said.

I sighed and took a deep breath.

"I know this sounds weird...but I fell in love with a merman."

Madison widened her eyes.

"Are you serious?"

"I am serious Maddy. I am in love with a merman. They are real. Mermaids and mermen do exist."

Madison stood up.

"Oh my god Tyler, you can't prove to me that they are real. Is it because of The Little Mermaid?"

I stood up in front of her.

"No! Maddy, this is a serious statement. I am in love with a merman, a male fishtail being!"

"Oh, so you're gay." She teased. "WELL LISTEN UP EVERYONE, TYLER'S GAY! Thanks for wasting your time with me homo."

She walked out.

I collapsed to the floor, sobbing.

Oof, I hate to leave it here. But yeah
Last night, I was sick to my stomach and I vomited. So much stress! Ugh, I fricking hate it so much!!
At least I'm feeling better now.
