I Fell In Love With A Merman [Joshler]

Josh rose up to the surface as quick as he could, ignoring the death that awaits him. When he arose from the water, the sun was about to rise. He was desperate in trying to look for his love.

"Tyler!" He cried. "Good human!"

He swam all over the ocean, but he couldn't find him anywhere.

His heart was mushing, he didn't have much time left. Until he remembered the sea rocks.
Josh swam over there in hopes of finding him. But when he looked, he saw what looked like a human floating face down in the water.

It was Tyler.

Josh's life crashed before his eyes. He told him that he would die trying to become a merman, but he wouldn't listen.

Josh dragged Tyler's body onto the beach. He used every bit of merman energy he had.

Once he laid Tyler flat on the sand.

"Good human...Tyler."

He tried kissing him. But Tyler didn't respond or move. Josh started sobbing, shaking the human's body in his arms.

"Don't die! Good human...tyler.....please....."

Josh collapsed onto the beach, still holding Tyler. His heart gave out on him, he closed his eyes.

Tyler woke up gasping and splitting out water. He was surprised to be alive. When he looked down onto himself. He did not grow a fishtail. Then he realized something was touching him. He looked over to see Josh laying next to him. He smiled.

"My love."

He kissed him gently on the lips.

"I'm not a merman yet, but I'm going to try again."

Josh didn't respond. Tyler assumed he was asleep. He touched his cheek, rubbed his arms down his tail, he did everything that would wake him up. That's when he realized something was wrong.

"Josh? Are you awake?"

He lifted him in his arms.

"Josh, please, wake up."

He tried everything he could. He even noticed skin slithering away from his body. He laid his head down against his chest, checking for a heartbeat. He had none. It felt like he had no heart at all.

Tyler sobbed. He hugged Josh to his chest, squeezing him so hard so that he could come back to life. Nothing could help him. Nothing.
Josh was dead. And he didn't understand why.

Tyler didn't want to live anymore. He didn't care about himself anymore. He didn't care about the consequences or problems he would suffer. He wanted to drown and die; for real.

He carried Josh's body onto the sea rocks. After looking back to the beach one last time, he jumped.

He allowed himself and drown while still holding Josh's body. As the sun rose above the sea, both of their souls collided and their bodies dissolved into sea foam.

Tyler's parents rushed outside once morning came. They were so afraid Tyler had ran away.
They looked everywhere, but they could not find him.

While looking, Madison saw bubbles rising from the water. Tears rolled down her eyes.

"Maddy? What's wrong?" Zack asked.

"Tyler's gone."

When he heard what his sister said, he started crying. Soon Jay cried, then their parents's cried.

But Kelly felt something. Something light that was placed on her cheek.

"I don't think Tyler's gone." She said. "I think he's still with us."

Tyler and Josh looked down to them.

"You'll never be alone." Tyler said. "I will always be with you. Goodbye mom and dad, goodbye my siblings, I hope to see you soon."

He blew a kiss to them.

"C'mon Tyler, we have to go." Josh said.

The merman and the human rose up into the sky, meeting up with spirits of heaven; welcoming them to God's arms.
