Alpha Cody

Chapter 2

"Rose I'm so sorry to hear of this." Jet said and set his hand on my shoulder.

I sniffled and looked over at my uncle. He's my mother's brother. "There is no need to be sorry uncle, no one knew what he was planning until it happened." I whispered and shrugged his hand off looking down into my lap.

Jet sighed and looked at everyone around the table. "We will take a break for lunch everyone is dismissed." He said and stood. He looked over at his niece and frowned.

I stood and quickly walked out of the meeting room and into the dinning hall heading towards the bar.

Jet sighed watching Rose. "Its horrible for what happened to that girl." Tony Newland said walking up next to Jet. Jet looked over at him noticing a few more males had gathered around him.

"I knew my sister shouldn't have been with him, I should've seen the signs when Rose was born. She was growing weaker as the days went by. Then one day she stopped visiting me and bringing my niece and nephew by. Thats when I should've went and saw them I could've prevented this all from happening." Jet said growling to himself.

"You couldn't predict what he was going to do Jet, do not beat yourself up over it." Cody Akaiyan said. Jet looked over at the young Alpha. He was starring at Rose. Jet growled, "Don't even think about it Cody." He snapped. Cody looked over at him and shrugged staying quiet.

I looked over at my uncle and walked over to him carrying my drink. "Hey what are you guys talking about?" I asked smiling at them. Jet looked at her. "Alpha business that you don't need to know about just yet." He said

I pouted and looked at him. "Well are you going to introduce these guys to me?" I asked softly and looked at the few males around us.

Jet sighed and looked at everyone. "This is Dalton Hatton, Mark Lee, Ben Anderson, Tony Newland, and this is Cody Akaiyan." He said introducing the men.

I smiled and shook each ones hand. I soon was holding Cody's hand. I froze at the feeling, it was different than what I have ever experienced in my life. It was like a burning sensation but comforting also. Looking up into his eyes I saw that he had the same reaction as me.

Jet cleared his throat loudly. I jumped and pulled my hand away from Cody's. "Its time we go back to our meeting." Jet growled and headed back to the meeting room.

I frowned and followed him back to the room and sat back down next to him.  I could feel eyes on me. I glanced up and looked around and noticed Cody looking at me. I blushed and looked down at my lap trying to focus on what my uncle was saying.

I walked out of the meeting room happy to be out of the room. I wasn't sure how much longer I could take Cody looking at me.

"You are coming to dance aren't you?" Jet asked walking up to me. I looked at him confused. "What do you mean by a dance?" I asked curiously. Jet chuckled, "Of course you don't know you haven't been coming to any meetings. The Lee pack is hosting a dance at their pack house. each year we host one at different locations. Granted not all the packs get along but it is a night of truce among the packs. Each Alpha brings their mate and beta with them, in most of the cases it will just be the Alpha and Beta." He said.

I nodded and smiled. "When is this dance?" I asked looking at him glancing behind him at Cody. Why is this boy starring at me so much. I growled deep within my chest and looked back at my uncle smiling.

"Next Friday is the dance. Plenty of time for you to find a dress. Maybe you will find your mate at this dance." Jet said smiling. I rolled my eyes at his remark. "I don't think so Uncle, I don't have time to find a mate. I have to watch over my pack." I said frowning.

Jet sighed. "Rose, you are supposed to be a Luna, not an Alpha. Once you find your mate He will joint your pack and become Alpha and you will take control as Luna." He explained.

Again I rolled my eyes. "I know all this, how will I know if I find my mate?" I asked biting my lip looking over at Cody now who was talking to other Alphas.

Jet frowned and sighed. "I guess your mother wasn't around long enough to explain everything to you.Well first off you will have the sudden urge to want to be around him. To be by his side constantly. Your mind will constantly be on him and he will be thinking of you. He will want to protect you no matter what. He won't let any other unmated males talk to you. He will mark you to tell others to stay away from you. The bond you two will create will be like nothing else you have ever experienced. Once you create a bond with your mate you will know who he is. Have you met him already?" Jet asked raising an eyebrow.

I looked at him trying to keep a calm face. "No I have not met him yet, I just wanted to know how I will know just in case." I said lying the best I could to my uncle. I may not know him very well now so hopefully he can't read me as well.

Jet gave me a weird look. "Very well, you must be going your guards are getting impatient waiting around for you." He said motioning with his head over at my guards who were pacing around the room waiting for me. I sighed and gave him a quick hug and kiss to the cheek and walked over to my guards.

I glanced back over at my uncle then over at Cody. Sighing heavily I followed my guards outside towards our car. I gasped feeling someone press into my side and then I felt our hands touch and something slip into my hand. Before I could see who it was, he was ripped away from me by my guards.

"Hey now I didn't mean no harm." I heard Cody tell my guards. "Doesn't matter stay away from her." Tacoma growled at him. "Thats enough, lets just get home already." I snapped and got into the passenger side of the car not feeling up to driving anymore.

I glanced around and opened my hand up and looked at the paper in my hand. It was folded up into a small square. Unfolding the paper careful not to rip it I looked down at the writing on it.

Text me babe at 398-6756.

I blushed red and decided in whats the harm in texting the number?

I slipped my phone out of my pocket and typed the number into my phone and texted it.

'Hey , you seemed to really piss my guards off trying to get this to me.'

Biting my lip waiting for Cody to respond. I looked up at the house and sighed getting out of the car and heading inside to my room.

I sighed and jumped hearing my phone go off. I grabbed it out of my pocket and frowned reading the text.
