Chapter 6

Cody's POV

I growled seeing Larick show up. How dare he show up to my house. How dare he look at her. She is mine.

"Why are you here?" I growled watching him closely holding my mate close. I didn't want her near him at all.

I soon heard a whine from behind me. I turned and looked down at her too see that she was scared. I smiled at her. "Don't worry honey." I whispered and looked at Larick.

Larick smirked at me. "Now come on brother, share with me your little diamond you have behind you. Let her experience someone other than you." He said.

Thats when I lost it. I lunged at him hitting him across the face. Rose gasped seeing me hit him.

"Cody Stop!" I hear my mate screamed. I could hear the fear and worry in her voice. I pulled back and looked at her. Blood was smeared across my knuckles  some of them split and bleeding themselves. Larick on the other hand was unconscious.

She looked at me upset and worried. "That is enough. I think you have made you're point." She growled. I whined and walked over to her. She grabbed my hand and looked at it. "Oh Cody." She said and pulled me to the kitchen.

"Luna, what do I do with Larick?" Charles asked looking at her. Rose looked over at him. "Take him out of this house and dump him somewhere far from here. I do not want to see him anywhere near this house, or the pack in fact." She growled darkly.

I swallowed hard watching her. I had never expected that from her. I didn't know she had a side like that.

I watched her walk over to the sink mumbling to herself as she got a washcloth wet. I frowned.

She walked over to me and took my hand and started to clean my wounds.

"I'm sorry about how I acted, I shouldn't have done that. Even though he is my little brother." I said looking down.

Rose wrapped my hand and looked up at me. "Honey you did want you needed to protect me, you were defending your mate. It is natural to do that. He is lucky you didn't kill him." She said softly and lifted my chin.

I looked at her and smiled weakly. She frowned and kissed me softly cupping my cheek. I couldn't help but kiss her back smiling.

That's when I heard her growl and move and sit in my lap. I looked up at her and smirked rubbing her hips. "Already for round two? You aren't sore still?" I asked innocently.

Rose rolled her eyes and looked at me. "Can't I tease you?" She asked circling her hips around rubbing against me.

I growled deep in my chest at the feeling. "You're such a tease." I growled and kissed her roughly.

After about a few more moments she pulled back and moved off my lap and went over to her food and started to eat. I sat there with my jaw wide open. How dar she leave me stuck with my problem.

I growled and stood walked over and stood in front of her from the other side of the bar watching her eat. No matter how hard I tried to stay angry at her it was impossible.  

Soon I found myself smiling at her. Rose smiled at me.

"Why do you not like your brother?" Rose asked me quietly and looked down at her food.

I groaned, I didn't to have to tell her but I had to now.

I sighed, "Well, it was a long time ago, but my brother was very upset that he wasn't gonna be Alpha. He attacked my mother to try to get my father to strip my birth rights. He almost killed her. I stopped him, my father was away at a meeting. He figured if he killed her then got to me and killed me my father would make him Alpha." I said growing quiet.

I jumped feeling her hand on my cheek. "Honey I'm so sorry." She whispered. I smiled at her. "My mother lived, and my father. They are still alive and well. Which reminds me, they are coming over tomorrow. They have no idea that I have found my mate." I said smiling big.

Rose looked at me with panic. "Are you serious?" She asked and pulled away worried pacing in the room.

I frowned and watched her. "Honey calm down ok? It will be fine." I said standing and walking over to her.

Rose looked at me. "What if they don't like me? What if they don't approve of me?" She asked worry laced in her voice.

I sighed and pulled her into a hug. "Oh honey, I don't care about they think of you. You are my mate, they can get over it." I said softly and kissed her head and rubbed her back softly.

Soon I felt her body relax into me. I smiled big. I was so happy. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with this girl. I wanted to have as many children as she wanted. I wanted to make her happy.

Rose hummed and looked up at me. I smiled down at her and kissed her nose playfully. Rose blushed red looking down.

I smiled watching her reaction. Her cuteness was overwhelming. I swallowed the words I was about to say. I didn't want to scare her too much.

Rose hummed and took my hand pulling me up the stairs. I smiled following her into our room. "I thought we were going to get your things from your old pack?' I asked confused.

Rose turned and looked at me. "Don't worry I texted John and asked him to send it over in a moving truck." She said and put in the movie 'Legend of the Fall'

I raised my eyebrow at her movie choice. "What I love this movie. It is my favorite." She said skipping to the play menu and played the movie and walked over and laid next to me snuggling into my side.

I smiled and wrapped an arm around her and swallowed hard and looked at her.

"I love you." I said softly watching her.
